Not soon enough. I need to go into the tank and immerse myself in it, to get it out before it all comes to pass.

TM:"One of the new radical state government’s top agenda items is “land reform.” Large mainly Anglo-owned properties will be confiscated on the pretext that their original deeds and titles are invalid, under the Treaty of Guadeloupe Hidalgo, dating from the 1840s."

By the way, that reminds me: Someone needs to off that POS Mugabe over in Zimbabwe...he's doing it again - stealing and redistributing in his racist, Communist - Totalitarian way. And he's destroyed the only productive agriculture the nation had. This just in...

Christmas in jail for calling Mugabe 'thick-headed' http://www.zimbabwesituation.com/dec16_2004.html#link1

A ZIMBABWEAN commuter will spend Christmas in jail for calling President Robert Mugabe "thick-headed," the Herald newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Arnold Bunya, 29, was arrested on December 1 after an argument with his brother on a bus during which he admonished his sibling by saying "Do not be thick-headed like Mugabe."

Bunya was warned by a member of the Central Intelligence Organisation traveling on the bus to stop insulting the veteran leader but persisted and was then taken to a police station where he was arrested
(!!).

A Harare court on Tuesday remanded Bunya in custody until December 28.

Zimbabwe's strict Public Order and Security Act (POSA) make it an offence to insult the head of state.

There are regular reports of people on buses being arrested for slandering Zimbabwe's long-time president. Usually those found guilty receive light jail sentences, fines or are ordered to do community service.

Just thought I'd throw that in there pard...

Sounds like "Nuevo Mexico" circa 2012, in "Domestic Enemies."

I've just had a nice eureka for a subtext of the novel I'm working on

It's a wonderful plot.

I expect that Bill Richardson will use it as a template!

In my book, he's been swept away unmentioned. The governor and legislature are all much more hard core La Raza/MeCha types. "Return what was stolen" will be an official motto and policy concerning the Spanish Land Grants, for example.

Im wondering if they weren't trying the "Republicrat" method of governance. Elect me instead of these bad guys, but in reality, we are one and the same.

But it will spill. Like in Iraq, and in Israel, I hate to beat the drum for war because it's disgusting, sickening, vile, such an incredible waste of people and resources. But is it really worse than these festering situations we have that go on for years and years, and decade after decade? What happened to being cruel now in order to get past the bloodshed, and bring mercy sooner? In Fallujah, following the dictates of the world, we left those people to suffer under the terrorists for month after month, wondering when will the Americans come? Same with the Shi'a after Saddam when they rose up expecting us to come, but instead we gave him his helicopters back. It's insane. We chirp so much about innocent civilians but then we let them die so we can show how restrained we are. We seem to value terrorist life more than civilian, more than our own troops on the field of battle. It makes me feel SICK to be an American. American MUST LEAD because there is no one else to do it. If we MUST LEAD then we must make the hard choices -- again, no one else to do it.
