Well this is something of a surprise. I would have thought that if some whack job Euro picked a wax figure to demolish, it would have been the Bush one. Should have known, soccer obsessed as they are...

How come no-one ever picks on Muslims? I'm not hearing anything about blasphemous renderings of Mohammed at Mme. Tussauds.

Sounds more like the act of someone with a somewhat irrational dislike of Beckham and Posh Spice given that the rest of the art was left alone. Well that narrows it down to about 50 million people.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this turned out to be the work of a Muslim extremist. Islam prohibits visual depictions of prophets (they regard Jesus as a prophet) and they can get pretty nasty about it.

The attacker waited until other visitors had left the area and charged at the figures, kicking and punching them in a frenzied attack.
I hope to God there is a video of this!
I cant imagine something much funnier than a goofy psycho taking on the likes of a wax Spice Girl, Kylie Minogue, that fruity metrosexual soccer guy, Bush, Blair, et al in a frenzy of self-righteous rage!
The whole scene sounds too comical.

Gee, couldn't he do something peaceful and non-controversial to make his point, like stab a Dutch filmmaker to death? [/liberal hipocrisy sarcasm]

Gee, why would Protestants or Catholics find that offensive? It's not as if they were depicting Sean Penn hanging on the cross, or something. Oh, wait, is that coming for Easter? George Clooney?
