No problem ... I strive to be concise, but sometimes I'm just incoherent!

I have a problem understanding why, in a country where freedom of religious belief is guaranteed, we can be told we can't have a religious holiday or celebrate Christmas without offending someone. It seems my freedom is being taken away to appease the complainer. Does this mean Easter is the next to go or is that really just a celebration of bunnies and hard boiled eggs?

I agree with you, OldYank. The rationale is that religious expression makes non-believers "uncomfortable," and so the religious expression must be shut down. Query whether a man who was "uncomfortable" with, say, seeing a mixed-race couple would have his sensibilities catered to, or whether he would be called by his true name: A bigot.
That's what's going on here. The generally cheerful expressions of joy that the majority wants to utter at Christmastime are being attacked as "offensive." And the majority is being told, in no uncertain terms, to shut up.
So much for respecting "diversity."
Anybody up for fighting back?

Most restaurants are closed. Not the Chinese ones. At least that's what my Jewish friends tell me. And they're not whining. Enjoy a day off, for cryin' out loud.

Two scientists are ostracized and debunked for publishing articles on cold fusion.
The Church holds a ritual every Sunday attended by millions, to worship a supernatural being.
What's wrong with this picture ?

Hey evets, that looks a lot like the "Blair Witch Christmas" ornamentation hanging on the Bar Building in New York!
I've got to find someone with a cellphone camera so I can post the "decoration." It's a pile of white twigs shaped in a diamond, with red panty hose strung around the ends. Uggh.

Hmmm. Your meaning eludes me. Can you expand a bit on your thoughts?

Thanks for the ping. This stuff has got to stop. I believe people are fed up with this nonsense and are finally fighting back.
I also believe a lot of non-christian left wingers are mad at religious conservatives for turning the tide in the elections and are trying to exact revenge in any way they can.
They truly HATE christians and are completely intolerant of anybody who does not think and believe the things that they do.
To: NJ Freeper
That's a good point. The Lefties are in a pique over the election, so they're trying to make the Christians shut up.

The PEST folks are doing all they can do to create more red-staters, I see.

You bet. This is what passes for Christmas decorations at the Bar Building:
Not really, but it's close.

Oops. My "Blair Witch" picture didn't show up, so I'll have to try again later; but I'm sure you get the idea.
Been through HTML Bootcamp a few dozen times, just can't seem to get the hang of it. Worked in "preview" mode.
