What a shame. Especially considering that the success of modern Connecticut is partially based upon the toil of workers at Colt, Remington, Ruger and others, making firearms and ammunition. The "nutmeg state" really was once the arsenal of democracy; home to Electric Boat, Sikorsky, Norden and Pratt & Whitney. It makes me sad to hear that law abiding taxpayers get abused. If this account is true, the cops and the DA need a trip to the woodshed. Perhaps an in-depth probe of their finances and personal activities a la FReeper, lexus nexus, proctological variety might induce more civility.

You've got to be kidding!

I agree with you there! As an NRA instructor here in Ct, I know some state laws are in direct contradiction to Fed regs on Firearms. I think his best bet is to get a darn good Firearms Att, or contact the NRA and see if they can help!
