If I had the money for a Maybach, I'd buy every 68,69,70,71 muscle car from each of the big three, no whining about AMC's. Especially a Hemi 'cuda (and Challenger); convertible of course.

Hey Rush, next time this happens do what I do. I tell the person in question that I have no cash but I would we willing to take them to the nearest grocery story and buy them a bag of groceries, no booze, but some good food, and I'll pay for it with my credit card.
I've never had a taker yet!

I was searching auto trader the other day, and a 1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow was about $25,000, while a 1972 hemi charger or Chevelle with a 400 hp. 454 are going for $30,000. A "Boss" 429 Ford Mustang is something like $75,000!

I thought 1971 was the last year of the street hemi??
In the back of Road & Track, they have an auto marketplace where you see even later model Rolls frequently go for under 30k.
The sad part is how cheap muscle cars were in the 70's during the gas crisis.

You might be right, but I could swear that they had hemis after 1971.
I had a 350 SS Camaro that was blueprinted, bored, with a big Sig Erson cam and headers and slicks. We got it to high 14s on the track. Wrecked it street racing, and bought a 400 hp. 454 Chevelle with the insurance money, but couldn't keep the car up and the day of street racing was done anyway.

"since Rush says he usually doesnt carry any, he declined.
The vagrants seemed to believe him but thought from his car and manner of dress that he had free dough for them to take"
Or maybe it could be they believed his explaination as to why he was withdrawing thousands of dollars in cash ?

"From that moment on, every cash withdrawal I've made has been for over $10,000."
Limbaugh said he also applied some of the cash to everyday expenses like food, travel and gratuities.

What's the deal with Mysty Rowe? Is a date with her on Rush's Christmas list? :)
And yes, I think Rush has a Maybach, although he has never said what kind of car he has.
