( Another way to fight the homosexual plague is to take back the public schools from Kevin Jennings' organization, GLSEN and the teachers union (NEA) )
Most conservatives such as myself could care less what people do in their bedrooms. What bother us is when that perverted, dangerous behavior is:
1. Taught to children in schools.
2. Made legal by leftist activist judges and teams of "gay" attorneys whose goal of life is to destroy the moral foundation of America.
3. Forced, via activist judges and "gay" rights legislators, the legal recognition of bizarre sexually dysfunctional behavior on a population who don't agree and never will.
4. Advocated by teachers, professors, counselors, homosexual priests who infiltrated the Catholic Church in particular and many other organizations as well.
5. Displayed in public via "Gay Pride" parades, "festivals", murals, TV shows, seminars that children are brought to, sensitivty/tolerance/diversity "training" sessions that many employees, students and other captives are forced to witness, and much of the above is at least partially funded by taxpayers.
6. Suppored by "hatecrimes" legislation, making the crime of beating up a homosexual a more grievous offence than the beating up of someone's old grandpa.
7. Supported by "hatespeech" laws - not in the US yet, although they're aiming for them.
Then there's the AIDS funding crap - way more money (much of it paid for by you and me) spent per patient than on other diseases which are not behavior caused. What part of "trinoassitol" do homosexuals not understand?
It's all President Bush's fault. We need to spend more money on curing AIDS and less on liberating oppressed muslims. </sarcasim
I must have missed the CDC's declaration that condoms prevent the transfer of AIDS.
Those groups are a lot larger than 2%.
Those groups are a lot larger than 2%.
My point exactly........ Why should the 2%er's get all the attention when larger groups don't.
They call it "The Gift". Thats sick.
BTTT! Excellent commentary, lj!
2. Can you define the "moral foundation of America" ? Is that what a simple majority's moral viewpoints are? Does that comprise your moral beliefs? And if so, should someone be thrown in jail because their moral beliefs differ from yours?
3. Can you elaborate on what you consider to be "bizarre sexually dysfunctional behavior" ? Is that anal sex? Oral sex? I'm sure you're aware that heterosexuals engage in these activities as well. By the way, if something is "forced" on you, that would mean that someone is physically "forcing" you to participate in it. That's certainly illegal. But just because others are "allowed" to do it, doesn't "force" anything on you.
4. You'll have to elaborate on this point as well. Priests in the Catholic Church who sexually abuse children need no explanation though. They should be thrown in jail. Not because they may be homosexuals, but because they are pedophiles who infringe upon the rights of others.
5. No one should be forced to witness anything they don't wish to. But by the same token, everyone is guaranteed free expression. You can't stop Gay Pride parades anymore than you can stop the KKK or Civil Rights demonstrators.
6. I completely agree with regard to "Hate Crimes" legislation. It is nothing more than thought crime.
7. Again, you'll get no argument here on "Hate Speech".
Finally, I also concur with unconstitutional funding for AIDS research. But you understand that our current president disagrees with us. He also happens to be a Republican. You must be proud.
Here is where we reach the range of issues that cause conservatives to inadvertently slip into the realm of socialistic thought. To prove my point, let's take a look at others who have said basically the same thing:
"It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole ... that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual. .... This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture .... we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man." [Adolph Hitler, 1933]
"There is the great, silent, continuous struggle: the struggle between the State and the Individual; between the State which demands and the individual who attempts to evade such demands. Because the individual, left to himself, unless he be a saint or hero, always refuses to pay taxes, obey laws, or go to war."[Benito Mussolini]
"Fascist ethics begin ... with the acknowledgment that it is not the individual who confers a meaning upon society, but it is, instead, the existence of a human society which determines the human character of the individual."[Mario Palmieri, "The Philosophy of Fascism" 1936]
"Comrades! We must abolish the cult of the individual decisively, once and for all." [Nikita Khrushchev , February 25, 1956 20th Congress of the Communist Party]
"All our lives we fought against exalting the individual, against the elevation of the single person, and long ago we were over and done with the business of a hero, and here it comes up again: the glorification of one personality. This is not good at all." [Vladimir Lenin, as quoted in Not by Politics Alone]
"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."[Hillary Clinton, 1993]
Society has no rights. Only individuals do. No one should have the right to petition the government to stop behavior that they simply don't approve of and whose actions do nothing to infringe upon their rights to life, liberty, or property of others.
If "unhealthy behavior" is your target, are you also going to propose legislation prohibiting over-eating, smoking cigarettes, and not doing enough exercise? Will you petition the government to outlaw these activities? Or are you only concerned with those that participate in practices that you find personally reprehensible?
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams
"Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being....And, consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his Maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker's will...this will of his Maker is called the law of nature. These laws laid down by God are the eternal immutable laws of good and evil...This law of nature dictated by God himself, is of course superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times: no human laws are of any validity if contrary to this..." Sir William Blackstone
"History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster." -- General Douglas MacArthur
"Reading, reflection and time have convinced me that the interests of society require the observation of those moral precepts ... in which all religions agree." --Thomas Jefferson
Just because I am a Republican and supported GWB doesn't mean I support everything he says and does. AFAIAC, the gov't budget should be trimmed at least 50% as a start.
You are pretty limited about what schools should teach, but that is a whole 'nother topic.
Regarding "Gay Pride" parades with sex acts, nudity and obscenity, I don't consider that protected "speech". And all kinds of passersby are subjected to it if they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The sexual deviancy I am referring to is obviously same sex acts. There is no reason to have them normalized, legalized, promoted, encouraged, taught, accomodated, or tolerated. End of the story. You've been around FR long enough to educate yourself about why this is so. You can read the links that EdReform, Scripter and others put up. If you don't agree with them, please post your own articles so we can all find the truth.
Actually the Catholic "priests" who molested the (95%) boys were not pedophiles, only a tiny percentage of them molested small children. By definition, a pedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to PRE-PUBESCENT children. The vast majority of boys molested by the "priests" were young adolescents, historically a favorite target of homosexuals. That's where the name "pederast" comes from.
As a last note, obviously a man and a woman can engage in anal or oral sodomy, sex torture, scat and urine play, fisting, anonymous orgies and so on just as homosexuals do. But they certainly don't do it in the same percentages, nor do they have parades, nor do they mandate sensitivity training sessions, nor do they call themselves a special name, nor do they make legal demands, nor do they etc etc. You get the picture.
Note - the word "gallantry" in the quote above is an 18th century term for illicit sexual liasons.
