And the city proabaly has promised "lower taxes" to everybody else once this goes through. So the whole community wants lower taxes - what they don't know is that the amount they save is probalby less than $10 per person - who needs "neighbors" like this?

Beware of a more veiled effort in Nashville, TN. The council has established a "GreenWay Commision" to either buy or condemn all the land along rivers and streams in Davidson county. The politicians run the scam with developers hand in hand it appears. The developer buys one parcel, then proposes a park through all the other parcels along the river.

It appears this is contingent upon the developer getting the high-density zoning he desires to increase the tax revenue of the exploited property, and then connects his development to the park.

Land in Nashville does not appear to be a safe investment, especially if it's near a park.
