Funny, I'm one of the 13,000 NPS employees, along with about 100 of my co-workers at the Statue of Liberty, and we never saw or heard of this "poll".
As for this ragged group of former "bosses": they were all part of the problem with the NPS: virtually ALL jobs of Deputy Supt. and up are Political Favors, and many of these are all remnants of the CLINTON fiasco.
BTW it's not easy being "right wingers" in the NPS!

"I think Bush has done well on environmental issues. First, he implemented the "Clean House" Act in Afghanistan and Iraq, and then he implemented the "Clean Yer Clock" Act with John Kerry and the Democrat Party."I think that's about one of the best replies I've seen posted all year!!!

At Yellowstone National Park, United Nations' delegates who surveyed the area last year, called for a "buffer zone" around the Park. So, the Park Service is choking off the local economy by refusing to maintain certain highways and by buying up any property available. Of course, there will be plenty available as more and more owners are denied the use of their own private property which causes businesses to shut down and the economy to show.
Inside Yellowstone, the Park Service is shutting down campgrounds as the park is being prepared to become the core of a huge biosphere reserve, as part of the United Nations global plan. Once established, no human activity will be permitted in the area. This represents fulfillment of plans outlined in the United Nation's Biodiversity Treaty - which, though still unratified by the U.S. Senate, is being implemented by the Clinton Administration.

Stuff it, Ranger Rick, you elitist eco-fascist.
What you didn't mention about the mission of the national parks is that the parks are to managed for all the public and its various uses. The national parks are not museums never to be touched and admired from a distance. If you don't understand that you're a moron.

Thanks for the kind words! James Watt is my grandfather, and I know he snoops around FR sometimes. The press demonized him as slash and burn "evil Republican" who believed the end of the world was coming soon.
If you knew my grandfather you'd laugh at all the lies the MSM got away with in the early 80s. He's a westerner (born and raised in Wyoming) who simply thought that America's land should be shared by ALL Americans not the privileged few. He has great respect for nature and everything God has given to us. He's always taught me that people are vastly more important than ANY natural resource and our stewardship should allow Americans to take part and actually see the land THEY own.
If there had been alternative media like the internet, talk radio, and FR I wonder what would have happened during the Reagan admin. Good thing we're here to call them on their lies now.
