No matter how you may WISH to deny it 2 + 2 is ALWAYS 4
See 198.
Not guys that played 162 games a year, AND put on 50 lbs or so of LEAN MUSCLE after age 30.....
Yeah yeah.. and Helen Thomas unknowingly used "makeup" one day too.. and regretfully refuses to use a bag over her head.. at least the old bag lets all the uglyness within her show externally..
Get real Barry..
"how did he grow MONSTROUS, and why keep the andro in his locker..."
Monstrous? The guy was 6 foot 5 , 225 pounds !!
I wouldn`t call him monstrous though. He was big, but not monstrous. For a baseball player, he was large ( and the announcers always made reference to that ). But put him in with some NFL linebackers, he would be average. His upper body/torso was not that impressive to be honest. Why did he keep the andro? To help him recover faster from workouts. He did lift weights you know. But I guess that had nothing to do with his size....
You have to add all the numbers to get a correct answer. : )
"AND put on 50 lbs or so of LEAN MUSCLE after age 30....."
Huh, please show me your reference for this.
Yeah, that (above) is the same as the guy below...
He was at least 250 at the end of his playing days. (And that looks like a conservative estimate.) He looks more like a Defensive Lineman, than a Linebacker. I would bet a cheeseburger or three that Big Mac is about 275 in that second pic.
You know something. Mark McGwire was not a man who put baseball first in his life. In fact, he walked away from millions of dollars several times in his career for one reason or another. He left many baseball records un-challenged because he put other things in his life first. He was not a money-hungry , self righteous , baseball player. He was not and is not Barry Bonds. He was/is a straight forward guy. And for you to accuse him of something you have absolutely no proof of him doing just shows that you need to put down your kool-aid and buy a calculator. Because what you are adding up in your head is not adding up properly.
Sometimes you have to look on the inside to see what is up on the outside.
""He looks more like a Defensive Lineman, than a Linebacker"".??? McGwire is a wee bit small to be a nose tackle. Possibly a defensive end, but his upper body isn`t built for it.
