The first sign that one should not take a report seriously is if it's from DEBKA.

They've reported that the Marine Corps' desert warfare training facility is in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Israel will have to take out Tehran and other major cities to fully break the will of Iran. These Mullah nukes are going to be too well hidden to think surgical strikes will suffice.

Somebody needs to do soe horizontal thinking here. Destroy ever major power plant, dam and transmission line and see how much they can accomplish with no power.
Destroy every major bridge and port, every government complex and see how much spare time they have to play with nuclear toys.
Watch them via satellites and UAVs if they try anything else.

No ground troops necessary at all. The beauty of power plants necessary for the job is that the energy signature is impossible to hide.

Implosion is not the only possible warhead design. Another type is the "gun" type where a slug of uranium is fired into another larger uranium core. The implosion design is harder to do but also a lot smaller, as it uses plutonium.

With troops in Afghanistan and Iraq this could be a reality sometime after the Iraqi elections in Jaunary. January to March is the best weather for an invasion in the PG.

If you believe that we need to do this, then doesn't this mean invasion, occupation, and liberation?

How can we wage anything short of all-out total warfare? If our security is truly at risk, then we should either do it all-out or not at all.
