You're making me laugh.

One of my church leaders knows a guy in the service. He said they have a very high opinion of the President. I think that is one of the best ways of knowing just what kind of man he is, and he is a good man. Thats the difference between a liberal elitist who swears at a man protecting his life and the man who so many liberals consider evil.

Reagan Man - "Get a grip" What?

FierceDraka - "But we didn't have pickup trucks back then!" lol :) Hey, we've got lots too! Go Ford!

NZerFromHK - Yeah, but in 1812 some Hawks thought the war would be as easy as crossing the border. Canadians fought some insane battles back then, even if we weren't called Canada. One intersting thing about it is I always heard that we burned the white house. It wasn't for some time that I learned that we did it after our own governement buildings were burned.

"US libs...hypocritical, naive, pompous...if US falls it will be because of these"

Amen.

"There's no point in a situation like this being an 80 per cent ally."

- Rt Hon John Howard, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, spoken soon after September 11, 2001

I'm going to quote okie01 on this one:

"To her credit, Canada is in Afghanistan. And the RCN is in the Persian Gulf. We should remember that, after these commitments, there are virtually no more Canadian military forces to deploy.

Modern day Trudeaupia and the Canada of WW II are not to be confused. And that says more about the Canadian government, perhaps, than it does about the people who elected them."

You make an off the wall remark, about going down with Canada if the US ever tried a takeover. Silly talk. I tell you to get a grip and you ask, "what?". LOL

You're new around here, so I cut you some slack. To reduce any confusion, its best to reply to a poster on an individual basis and not lump several rebuttals on one post.

I was just commenting on what FierceDraka said:

"Hell, we wouldn't even need to send regular troops - a horde of good ol' boys, riding in pickup trucks and armed with shotguns, could take over Canada in a few weeks."

Thanks for the advice, but not the condecension.

I just realized why you considered my remark "off the wall". I have been replying to anyone, and more or less making general remarks. I assumed you had read the entire thread as well. I guess I'll eat some humble pie and apoligoze for the misunderstanding. I think that you have over-reacted, but I guess I'll cut you some slack for liking Reagan :) So how do I respond to the origional article? I cant find the 'reply to' option except on other peoples comments.
