"It will never be investigated if people have a defeatist attitude towards someone willing to try and get the ball rolling. Doesn't take much time to send an email if you ask me. But it only works with everyone behind it. If it doesn't work oh well. Better to try and fail than to fail to try."

Well Jay I am all for Tilting at Windmills and have done so and will continue to do so. My one word comment, "Nope", was in response to a question posed. My attitude is not one of defeat but one based on reality.

Your "If it doesn't work oh well." is not exactly inspirational. By all means get the ball rolling.

For the record I did not ask you. Oh well.

regards,

the dozer

Dear ABC News,
I see that you felt compelled to run a story on vote fraud in Ohio in response to an email campaign. Would you also be interested in doing a story on the release of John Kerry's military records? John Kerry, not George Bush, made his military service the centerpiece, nay the rationale, for his campaign.

Yet he never released all his military records and has not responded to credible and serious questions raised third parties, including the organization, "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth". The SBVT have confined their disagreement with J.F. Kerry to events that occurred during his abbreviated tour in Southeast Asia, to which they were direct witnesses. Others have raised questions about the condition of his original discharge, whether he actually forfeited any decorations and why and under what circumstances they were reissued in 1981.

James Webb, Navy Secretary at that time, specifically denies reissuing these decorations, although his signature appeared on the awards documents posted on the Kerry website. Note that Secretary Webb did not deny any recollection, but went further, to make an outright repudiation of his signature. He effectively called the documents posted on the Kerry campaign website forgeries.

I am sure that ABC News, which is renown for its fairness and thoroughness will want to immediately investigate these matters as expediently as you did the vote fraud allegations. I know that if a former Secretary of the Air Force (or even some whack job in Texas with a word processor) had called documents posted on the Bush campaign website forgeries, this fact might have received the odd notice on ABC nightly news by this time.

John Kerry could allay many of the serious questions raised by his military service simply by signing standard form 180.

I wish to point out that I live in the bluest of blue states (The P.R. of Massachusetts), so you may rest assured that I am not like those mental defectives from the red states who have somehow managed to walk on two legs, leaving their forepaws available to send you all these pestering emails which you can so readily dismiss.

Yours truly,

Lonesome in Massachusetts

Yeah, but you're from Kansas, how did you learn to type, let alone design rockets? I got total blue state creds.

Carry on!
