Let me guess. You're part of La Raza.
You're one bright Freeper.
If you actually followed the link and read the entire WND article...
"Alberto Gonzales served with distinction on the board of directors of one of NCLRs oldest and most respected affiliates, the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans in Houston, Texas," she said. "Moreover, during his tenure as White House counsel, he has been one of the most accessible members of the White House staff to NCLR and other Hispanic organizations."
I know...I know...the groupthink, "one of our own" mentality is too much for you to overcome.
The article says that he is a member of "NCLRs oldest and most respected affiliates, the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans in Houston, Texas". I don't know anything about this group, but sometimes local affiliates are different in nature from parent entity. Weren't there some chapters of NOW for instance that condemned NOW for their ultra-liberal 100% abortion stand and their support of President Clinton?
Keep howlin', monkey. If Bush keeps this kind of stuff up - nominating Mexican-Americans and so forth - well he'll just never get re-elected in '08.
Well...um...regardless of how he treats whites, blacks, Mexicans, purple people, or space aliens on Mars...its impossible for GW Bush to get elected in '08. (seeing that he's serving out his 2nd term and all)
Oh...and I'd rather be a howlin monkey than to be willing to sell out the country to special interest groups. And if you followed alot of the post-election news...Mexicans who voted for GWB did not have illegal immigration reform at the top of their list anyway as the main reasons they voted...moral values, education and security were much more important in that demographic.
Mexicans cannot legally vote for GWB, or any other American politician.
I'm not sure, but you're right about there being variations in local groups.
This whole thing about La Raza would amount to nothing if Gonzales wasn't about to be the AG. Anyone in that high a position has to be squeaky clean, and being in, or very close to, La Raza isn't something a potential AG should have on his resume. That's why I think that this Gonzales-La Raza connection is suspect.
It would be even less if Dubya wasn't such a pander monkey to the illegal immigrant vote.
I don't subscribe to guilt-by-association tactics, but both Dubya and Gonzales should be loudly denouncing this racist organization.
Willie, I may have missed it, but whats this group done?
I think so...
I think it is the fact that he is not a certain color bothers some of the freepers...
You two should go on over to the other thread.
Risk is over there talking about how immigration pollutes the white bloodline, and how the prevailing culture should remain white.
You'll feel right at home.
Ding! Ding! We have a winner!
It's a subversive, Latino marxist organization that advocates "reconquest" of the American SouthWest through illegal immigration, and the establishment of "Aztlan" as a separate, Hispanic marxist utopia.
In the grand scheme of threats, I'd put this one pretty low though, wouldn't you say?
I think it depends --- if he's really a member of La Raza, then he's pretty un-American. If he believes in todo por La Raza nada afuera de la Raza --- that's un-American. Hopefully this isn't true.
I see.
