I don't know anything about this group, but sometimes local affiliates are different in nature from parent entity. Weren't there some chapters of NOW for instance that condemned NOW for their ultra-liberal 100% abortion stand and their support of President Clinton?

And if you followed alot of the post-election news...Mexicans who voted for GWB did not have illegal immigration reform at the top of their list anyway as the main reasons they voted...moral values, education and security were much more important in that demographic.

I'm not sure, but you're right about there being variations in local groups.

This whole thing about La Raza would amount to nothing if Gonzales wasn't about to be the AG. Anyone in that high a position has to be squeaky clean, and being in, or very close to, La Raza isn't something a potential AG should have on his resume. That's why I think that this Gonzales-La Raza connection is suspect.

One should never underestimate the nefarious intent of subversive marxist organizations and their shadowy shadowy connections. It would not surprise me at all if La Raza had indirect connections to Al Qaida and the PLO, not to mention fundraising and money laundering through the South American drug cartels and marxist leaders like Castro, Lula and Chavez. Of course, you rarely see the left-wing mainstream media describe the PLO and Al Qaida as "marxist". That's hitting too close to the truth.
