I think it's worth considering that Putin is trying to reassemble the old evil empire.

Maybe the term "old evil empire" is just alittle over the top. But not by much.

I thought along these lines when Putin recently talked about dual citizenship. Now coupled with this horrendous election...........

Yep, a snake is still a snake. The thought processes that allow the kind of government Putin is trying to resurrect never died. What disturbs me is that we've got two ex-KGB generals "advising" Homeland Security. I think Primikov is responsible for the design of our internal passport system (National ID).
