Dan and the rest of his apologizers in the old media like to suggest that he had a distinguished career. Well, all I know is that it is
extinguished ......... and I, for one, cannot forget 'The Wall Within'
ASA - 69-71.
******
Everyone.... here's wishing you all a very pleasant and meaningful Thanksgiving.

Dan wanted so bad for the story to be true, any suspicions about the authenticity of the memos was overlooked...plus, Mapes was selling him the bill of goods - she's going to be the one that gets the blame for this...will end up leaving CBS for CNN...

By the way, did Danno call Ohio yet?
"Ohio becomes like a sauna for the two candidates. All they can do is wait and sweat."
****
(To Joe Lockhart) "What about Michigan? It's been out there for a long time. Is that making your fingernails sweat?"

I wonder if Dan Rather will ever get it that God is more powerful that he is?

Dan wanted so bad for the story to be true, any suspicions about the authenticity of the memos was overlooked. You really don't think he knew they were fakes? That seems so hard for me to believe. He was working this story for years. And no matter what can be said about his sick bias, he's not a stupid person. He had to have known, imo.

I wonder if Dan Rather will ever get it that God is more powerful that he is?For his sake, I hope so.

Bye bye Dan. It was a mistake but it wasn't one.
They should fire him and the crew.
Happy Turkey day .

True. As he said........the content was true, even if the memo was faked. He actually said that. He was so convinced that Bush had dodged his Guard duty that he was going to "prove" it, come Hell or high water........even to the point of using and defending the use of a forged document. That is what passes for "journalism" at the top of CBS. The arrogance is jaw dropping.

I am so embarrassed that Dan Rather is from Texas. Most Texans are loyal to each other I guess that it was that move over to New Mexico that did Dan in. I have never figured out the connection with Don Runsfield and Dan Rather and their sharing a New Mexico ranch .

For any that wish the
TRUTH it is out there.
Rather is as corrupt as the Warren Commission, the 9-11 Commission, the Clintons, the black caucus, the NY Times, the alphabet media, etc. etc..
It is beyond the ignorance of the Jimmy Carters and Al Gores of this country. It is a deliberate attempt to remove the United States from power on the worlds stage. It is a war for ideologies, begun long ago, which will be continued for as long as America is the "king of the hill".
Like Microsoft and Wal-Mart are magnets to the hate groups, so America, magnified thousands of times, is a magnet of all who hate us, including her own people.
The truth is there is absolutely no reason to hate President Bush.
Dislike his policies ... sure. But hate?
This man is the epitome of genuine God fearing, American patriot.
Rather and the ilk that he represents are the enemy.
Like Rather, they must be beaten, not just held in check, as we did this election, but beaten!
We the people are waking up, and the perverted, amoral left is being shown for what it is. Not an opposition party, but our mortal enemy. Bigger and more dangerous than any terrorist.
Have a happy Thanksgiving and God bless America.

That is what passes for "journalism" at the top of CBS. The arrogance is jaw dropping.I agree, their arrogance is amazing. Bernie Goldberg (Arrogance) is right.
But I will never be convinced that Mapes and Rather were not involved in knowing that these "documents" were not frauds before they used them.
The ongoing, relentless spin by all the old f*rts (Bernard Kalb, etc.) in the media to protect the image of themselves in the old media and to cover for Danno, that it "WAS ONLY A MISTAKE" is total covering-their-*sses baloney to me. They knew. SeeBS probably knows who created them.
It amazes me that anyone thinks that people like this at SeeBS were only involved in "an innocent mistake".

You said it much better than me. Thank you!

If anyone truly believes Dan RATher was duped...I have swamp land in Florida for sale. I was watching (yes I admit it) MSNBC yesterday with (Scarborough) and they had these old cronies of Dan's who were the biggest apologists I've ever seen. Went on and on about what a great and wonderful reporter he is...got to RatherBiased.Com to see exactly how wonderful he was.

"Dan may have been taken for a ride...but he was a willing passenger."Boy, that sounds right. Danno had a pre-paid "ticket to ride". LOL
If you can take the pain, I just found this relative suck-up piece on Blather at the New York Observer:

Dan Rather Says He'd Have Liked Another Decade
To: Ginifer
go to RatherBiased.Com to see exactly how wonderful he was.Yes, I've been there many times.
Dan's had his sick, bent way for decades, and the old media f*rts all cover for each other. (I saw that pathetic MSNBC lovefest too.)

'The Wall Within' is totally disgusting, too!
