If I'm not mistaken, SoS Sam Reed said that if select counties (or just precincts) are re-counted on the Democrats' dime and they produce enough votes to overturn the current count and flip the election to Gregoire, then the state is obligated to order (at its own expense, I think) a hand recount of all counties.
So all Gregoire has to do is pay to "find" 43 or more votes in King County (any doubt they will discover something?), and there will be a hand count of the entire state, at our expense.

If another stack appears, I think that Sam Reed, the Secretary of State will have to step in. I am still wondering how 10,000 more votes were counted than were counted at the polling centers. Each polling center was responsible for counting up all the votes cast. This included the absentee votes, the provisional votes and the votes put through the electronic scanners. These numbers were recorded, the ballots collected in special bags, and the voting machines with their laser encoded memory modules zipped up in a special bag. All the bags were tie wrapped shut and transported to a special ballot collection truck. At that place, the vote tallies are recorded on a special form, the memory modules are taken out of the scanner machines and taken to download their memory into a special modem hooked to a dedicated phone line that goes direct to the King County Elections receiving computer. The main point here is that the tally of the ballots taken at each polling site has been recorded on those forms. Now how did they get a 10,000 vote addition error? My answer is that they slipped in 10,000 votes that were made up in advance, just in case they needed to turn around a Rossi victory.

Because, people are saying that Dino Rossi will have an excellent chance to win in a U.S. Senate race against Maria Cant(do)well (D) if he fails to win the governer's race.

Come now. 10,000 votes for the Donkey is nothin. It's like linting out their pockets to them.

In situations like this, you REALLY need to give the actual NAMES of your opponent, the student body VP, and the committee members. The only revenge you will get is that if any FReepers ever encounter those dishonest individuals, they will treat them with the contempt they deserve.

"On the bright side, it may put Rossi in excellent position to knock of Cantwell in '06. As down as I was after Thune was robbed in his race against Timmy Johnson, it made his victory over Dasshole all the more sweet."
I was thinking the exact same thing.

They are doing more than linting out their pockets. I wonder how many shredders are working to lint out their files with Rob McKenna coming in as Attorney General. There is a whole lot of corruption they will have to cover up. With the election up in the air, they have more time.

Why not just have another election? That or toss a coin.
