PS. we didn't attack them, when Soviet tanks rolled into Hungary in 1956 and Checkoslovakia in 1969 to quash the revolution. Now all of a sudden Ukrain is the country to bring us to the brink of WW III?

We should be much more concerned about Iran and N. Korea and their nukes.

Perspective!

How do you propose to stop the Russian tanks?

Either we are ready to back up our warnings with force, or we shouldn't make them.

I personally don't think we should draw a line in the sand over Ukraine. Both candidates are corrupt, the so-called pro-West candidate is pro-EU, NOT pro-US.

ah, so you are telling me that russia roles into a foreign country and we are to say 'no problem, do what you want'?

you are forgetting that Ukriane, a free and independent county, had an election. a foriegn country, russia, illegally influenced the election, and defrauded the country. now they are using thuggery to get thier way.

you dont have a problem with this?

What are our real options? Military force isn't one of them, so what is? Economic and diplomatic?

A foreigner, george soros is influencing things there, still. If he had his way, this is how our elections would have turned out. One big rumble. If soros and chirac are for it, it can't be good.

Exactly. Don't rattle sabers, unless we are ready to use them.

Just wait until the next close election in the US. Do we want the UN invalidate US elections?

Or we could just let them sort it out themselves.

if bush and the US, UN, NATO, EU, canada are for it, it must be good. regardless if soros is there. soros is in every country. when all those people/groups say there was fraud, i will agree with them. not with putin and the wanna be soviets.

you keep missing the point that EVERYONE has invalidated this election, except for putin.

there are plenty of things we can do about it. either going through the proper channels at the UN, talking to EU, a concerted effort needs to be made to not let russia trump the rights of another country.

saying that war is the only option is absurd. and you know that.

This illustrates the ineffectiveness of a nation that is tied down in a goofy war with no benefits in sight. It limits that nation from being forceful with foreign policy negotiations or influencing events. We have about as much reserve capacity to influence the outcome of a dispute over the Ukraine as San Salvador. Of course, there is the nuclear option, if you want the US to become glazed glass.
