I don't recall that the United States has ever had a non-Christian President. What's the point of a "National Faith Party," if the majority of the federal government is controlled by Christians? You'll also realize, that there are devout Christians on the other side of the aisle (Zell Miller for example). To say that the rest of the government does not have a representation of Christian interests, is idiocy. Another problem would be the inherent barrier of getting an "NFP" candidate into office anywhere. Why not go through presently existing parties in order to represent your interests? Speaking in general the only major party I see that needs to reform would be the presently existing Democratic Party (perhaps that's my own personal bias, but just because I am biased, does not make me wrong). To say that you want to reform the entire party system by 2008 in order to elect your candidate would perhaps be a little too optimistic anyway.
