I've seen many "how do we frame the message" threads on DU since their election debacle. They'll do anything but admit that most of the country just ain't buyin' what they're sellin'.

You're absolutely correct. When you host someone in your home, you are obligated by simple good manners to make them comfortable and welcome. If I know a guest has a major lib pole up their ****, I don't bring up politics. If they bring it up, I find a diplomatic way to slide to another subject. I'll debate in different settings, but not when I'm hosting someone. That's just my home training and I'm stickin' to it!
