The Party is deeply divided and one side will have to prevail before a viable nominee for 2008 is chosen.
Dean and the 'progressive' socialists are on one side... Hillary and the 'old libs' form the other. Anyone not alligned will be forced to choose.
My bet is that Harold Ickes gets the DNC leadership over Dean. With Dean in there, Hillary will be just another horse in the race.
She wants a 'coronation' in 2008... don't you know?

In order for the democrat party to stay viable, they need to keep Terry, run Hillary in '08, and commission M. Moore to do another "documentary" slamming those patriotic Republicans!

I'd love to see Howard Dean head up the DNC myself.

I vote for McAuliffe, because he's been so good for us. But if he has to leave, then it should be screamin' Dean, Icky Ickes, or never-backed-a-winner Shrum. Heck, how about Cahill, Estrich, or Lawrence O'Donnell? LOLOLOL!

Howard Dean? To paraphrase National Review when Dean was a rising potential nominee for president, please install this man as DNC chairman. Republican landslides in 2006 and 2008 would surely result.
