VIVA LA REVOLUCION BUSHO! There's an insurgent in town and like the protypical Texas Cowboy of the frontier, he refuses to fit in or be tamed by Washington. Great Fred Barnes piece. Enjoy!

D.C. needs a thorough full power pressure wash and GW is just the man to get 'er done.

But he's held fewer state dinners than any president in memory.Past presidents have had way to many state dinners.

Most Memorable Quote Of The Year Award: "'One tux a term,' a White House official said. "That's our idea of outreach to the Washington community." One tux a term. They'll love it in Flyover Country. The stuffy elites can go to their Tina Brown dinners in New York. The masses know President Bush prefers to keep the frip and frappery at arms' length as much as possible.

He loathes the press........I really love that about him. He can't be bought.....I really really love that about him. He bends his knee before God.......God and I really love that about him.

Everytime I read articles like this, I'm reminded of how pleased I am that there are grown ups in the White House again!

And it drives the libs to hate him. I love someone whom the libs hate so much. Americans concluded on November 2nd, if Bush is so bad, he must have some redeeming virtues. Indeed.

Just one more thing to admire about Bush.

That, deacon, is a denomination, not a church. Where does the President attend services on Sunday?

Dunno. He doesn't attend every Sunday. When he goes to Camp David, he has a minister come out for prayer.

A big difference from Clinton, who faked religious sincerity and carried a bible prominently with him to and from Sunday worship services.

"He doesn't attend every Sunday."
How often does he attend Sunday services? Isn't Sunday attendance sort of a mandantory part of the Christian faith?

Absolutely - if Bush has drawn the wrath of the likes of Rather, Jennings, Krugman and Moore --- he definitely did something right.

Posh. Actually, in the Christian Bible, it says to profess your faith quietly and not shout it from the rooftops as the hypocrites do. So Bush is being a committed Christian.

Aha, so the Catholic doctrine that we have an OBLIGATION to attend services every Sunday is "posh"? (What is 'posh'?)

A variety of them...in Washington, usually St. John's Episcopal across from the White House. In Crawford, the local Methodist church(Laura is a long-time Methodist); also, they have gone to Easter Sunrise Service at a nearby Baptist church, and have worshipped at the chapel on base at Fort Hood. Also, Bush credits Billy Graham with causing him to change his life's direction, and Franklin Graham has stood in for his elderly father at times when Bush wanted a favored religious speaker at some event. There is also a Methodist minister from Houston, an African-American, with whom he is very close(name escapes me...somebody help).

I am reminded of Andrew Jackson, who never fit in Washington but who dominated the place anyway.
