What I don't understand is why the second group of hunter apparently didn't bring their rifles when responding to the radio call of one of first guys wounded? Seems to me that several guns, even if only 3 or 4 shot bolt actions, could at least force the SKS guy to keep his head down. Chances are they had more powerful calibers as well, plus one round of most hunting ammo will make a mess of you, although hollow points in 7.62x39 (At least the Russian ones) are not known for good expansion performance.

8 guys with scoped rifles are outgunned by one man with a junk SKS Reports I've read indicate that the second group did not come armed. Why, I don't know.

I heard on the news he was in the military in Laos also. He was only 12 when he came to the US, so while possible, it's not likely. He was in the US Army, the National Guard, and qualified as a sharpshooter, which is the middle of three levels of qualification). So he wasn't exactly Alvin York.

I don't know. But I think more will be coming on this story.
I would have! I would have had one at my side to start with.

Here's a thought. Let's make it a federal capital offense to use a gun in the commission of a murder. The gun control advocates ought to like that, huh? That would certainly put the gun grabbers in a quandary.
