They are, to say the least, disproportionaly affected.

Many Americans have divorced, or married those who have divorced. Do you think they are all sinners? Our greatest leader, President Reagan, was a divorcee who married a divorced woman.

I checked the CDC. The 900,000 number represents AIDS cases alone, not HIV. The proportion of AIDS cases in homosexual men is closer to 70% - 16% total of homosexual men, or nearly 1 in 6!
I don't know the HIV numbers. It would probably push the numbers closer to 1 in 4.

"If we were to start a new television sitcom, and wanted to accurately portray homosexual ratios in society, we would need 199 heterosexual actors before we finally introduced one homosexual actor."
This does not explain why "Will & Grace" are forced down our throats on cable TV 24 x 7. No pun intended.

"This is the Way God Made Me" - How could any Christian believe that the Lord had created a "gay gene" when homosexual activity is a Sin?
The Lord created *temptation,* and it is the responsibility of all of us, homosexuals included, to resist that temptation. I do have sympathy for these people but a "gay gene" is a way to shift the responsibility onto God.

Jeff Blogworthy:
I agree with you to a point. I do not believe homosexuals can do anything about their desire. All people have certain weaknesses (sins) they tend to succumb to. For some it is greed, others womanizing, gambling, pornography, smoking, gossiping, overeating... name your sin of choice. But because I have strong temptations in some areas does not mean that I have that particular "sin gene."
But having a 'we can sex, but you shouldn't' mentality is the height of hypocrisy and causes your arguements to lose creditablity and respect.
