I have to post again. It's so cool to have real adult people in office for another four years like Rice and Bush.
Alright off to another topic...

Kerry has always looked like a Frenchman to me.I disagree. A 'dead dork' is a more fitting description.

Yeah, I did search the other threads - only found more links to the stories. One with better pictures was linked: http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20041120-113709-8651r.htm
but nothing else. So far, that is.

Lots of new folks on FR. Some seem to have the impression that every news account should be posted and re-posted in order for everyone to see it on their front page.....sometimes for days after the event.
Then there are many new folks who came during election day (or thereabouts) and saw the numerous "anxiety-born" vanities. They now assume that's how things are done around here - whenever you have a thought, you create a new thread. Lastly, some new folks seem to think of FR as a blog.
It's going to be a while until things get back to normal.....

You have not posted anything that everyone doesn't already know

But in all seriousness, this incident showed the person, the individual, the leader, that Americans elected for another 4 years. A down-to-earth ruler who cares for his fellow man. Really? Two situations for you and a moral dliema. A man working for himself on a farm has done nothing wrong, pays his taxes to a lord and obeys the law of the land. The lord comes along and dispossesses the man of his property and gives it to a french national. We'll say this is feudal Britain. In another place, a French national appears on the farm of a farmer and dispossesses the farmer of his property. No lord is present, but the action is being taken because the lord over this territory condoned the activity. In yet a third place, a band of thieves bessets a farmer who is then rescued by the lord of his territory. The farm after all provides tax revenue and this cannot be allowed. Which situation shows caring? None of them. All three situations are identical. A thief attacks a farmer. Given the right circumstance, the last tale can be painted as an act of mercy and caring. The point? you ask.. Interesting how a wrong is a wrong until it's your own lord doing or allowing to be done..

Message from Thread Police: When coming to FR for a new session, always do a keyword search for topics you aren't even aware of yet. This should eliminate the dreaded repeat post.
Check with individual thread police (they are easy to spot) to find out how to do this.

I guess that you didn't get it with the last post. This is new information ie., the agents name and a personal touch. It can not be told enough what a real leader and man our President is. There are plenty of us out here that love to hear again about a take charge President. Besides, you don't have to click on. Really smacks of a petty person.

Fox News described the incident "Bush the Brave." Reuters via Yahoo! News headlined with Bush Free Secret Service Agent from Chile Guards. AP broadcast Bush Comes to Aid of Secret Service Agent. The Denver Channel featured Bush Steps in Resolve Secret Service Scuffle. The Manila Times titled their paper Bush rescues Secret Service Agent; while The Times of India bannered Bush Stepped into the Middle of a Confrontation.
This is the real news: every headline praised our President!
El Oviedo provided his own POV and a compilation of admiring headlines.
Thank You, EO! This is probably the first time since 911 that the world media has uniformly published a positive headline about GWBush.
I have seen the other postings, including the time-sequenced photos. I consider this additional information. I also noticed that as President Bush returned to his host with his hand extended and a smile on his face, Laura was looking back at the agent with a warm smile.
After all the years of nasty articles, we all deserve to bask in this example of the sort of strong, brave human being we worked to elect to a second term. As far as I am concerned, this article can be posted as many times as people wish and I will click on them to read the posts. It makes me smile.
