Prayers for out troops and their loved ones and this unfolds.

Typically overblown AP headline. It's bad enough that the violence continues but AP seems to be hyping it.

Looks as if the insurgents are getting desparate. Or is this overhype by our great MSM?

Is it just me, or is the AP gloating?

Translation: This is guerrilla warfare and we're only telling you what the other side wants you to hear. We'll ignore the many millions of people who have at least a HOPE of liberty, half of them women who won't have to be at risk of rape and domination.

I'd say both. We've seen much worse days than this before, and this appears to be a reaction to the success of our troops at the sunni mosque in the neighborhood.
To: Arkie2
It's way overblown. I read all the wires daily and they have a habit of repeating the same incident and not bothering to mention that. They also purposely bounce back and for between areas of the country. For instance they'll make a statement that a car bomb exploded in Baghdad, go on to a story about Mosul and then come back and give details about the Baghdad car bombing at a later point without specifying that they had already mentioned it.
I think they do it to make things look worse then they are but it's possible they just have poor editing. I'm doing a commentary on the news wire anti-war propaganda on my blog and I have not doubt it exists.

Pure hyperbole. Slow news day so punch up the old headline. The skeptic in me was not disappointed.

I don't know....it's been pretty loud 'round here lately.
It'll be quelled, though. The good guys are on the offensive now which is why the violence has escalated. Eventually, it's going to work, but the terrorists have got to get the message first. They're starting to and they're not liking it.

If the markets and schools are open then this is an overblown story. Hell they have nothing to write about. Maybe they should go to the Ivory Coast!! I read somewhere some old Imperial power is killing people under the banner of the UN. Maybe that's a story!!!
Putz all of them!

The MSM is flaming the anti-American hysteria we now see around the world. The MSM needs to be taken to task as to whether they're Journalists or Americans first. The need to be asked if the safety of Americans and our military come before the hand wringing and appeasement to and over the well being of terrorists is worth the headlines. The signs of what we think about it are already being drawn with the decline in circulation of major liberal news papers such as the NY Times and others. I believe we can criticize them till the earth stands still to no avail. The only way to make a cooperation to listen is to boycott their products and scold those who advertise and distribute their products. The best way to deal with a rogue politician is to vote him/her out of office. I think for to long some of us like me have sat idle and just watched the left run amok due to being part of the silent majority labeled everything from bigots to homophobes thereby sealing our lips shut to any response. This election was a turning point and we will not and should not be silenced anymore. It is okay to be a Christian or to speak your mind on social issues when common sense and respect are still applied in the scope of the debate. It shouldn't entitle us to be what we have been falsely accused of but to be an equal player in the debates. To watch TV and see the left being chided for racial bigotry against Condi for her new position in the presidents cabinet is refreshing and a horrifying reality for the left who now must fear the blacks leaving the DNC plantation regardless of the labels applied to them such as Uncle Tom's or Aunt Jamima's. I really don't care which way they turn as long as it is based on issues and not blind loyalty. They can start a new party for all I care if that is what they choose but at least it will usher in serious debate and the end of senseless name calling. Back on point, if the terrorist moves shoot him, if the MSM lies shoo.. oops boycott them. lol

Slow news day so punch up the old headline. The only reason the article fails in that is it didn't include sex. How do these nuts get through college.
To: Joe Miner
Claiming you voted for Kerry must be worth an "A" or two with these Liberal college professors.

Yep...even though they failed to get ketchup boy and the silver pony in the WH, they are still going to try and prove that they've been right all along about the war.
