Also, I don't think there were 100 people on their side. More like 30-40 with lots of people hanging around waiting for the bus, panhandling, talking to themselves--you know, regular San Francisco street life!

If the crowd is like the Anti-Israel crowds I've seen, they should change the word "Gets" to "Is".

No speech transcripts this time, but you can basically take one from any protest over the past few years and replay. Same old, same old. Palestine, blah, blah, blah, Occupation, blah, blah, blah, U.S. Imperialism, blah, blah, blah, Down with Zionism, blah, blah, blah. And then they can never stay on focus. It's on to Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba, the Pitcairn Islands, whatever...
1. A representative of Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism (QUIT) tried to claim that it was the Israeli "occupation of Palestine" that caused the Palestinian Authority to oppress gays, and that once Israeli control ends, the P.A. will no longer harass, murder, and torture Palestinian gays.
I'm just aghast that someone could either actually believe this or even just pretend to believe it.

2. The fact that they kept trying to prevent the filming of their speeches and discussions. What exactly is their purpose in having a "rally" then, if not disseminating their ideas as widely as possible? What sense does it make to have a "rally", a public demonstration, and yet not want anyone to record what you're saying?
I don't think I even want to think too deeply about the insanity which must be involved here.
