If a Republican called Carol Mausley-Braun Aunt Jemima, we'd have headlines for weeks and Hardball/60 Minutes/etc. specials on the racism within the Republican party.
Double hockey sticks, they did that to Trent Lott who said nothing more than "Strom Thurmond would've been a better president if he'd won." (paraphased)
I believe that Harry Belafonte also called Dr. Rice an "Aunt Jemima" about a year ago.
Rice will run for vice-president if she wants it. President next. The dems worst fear.
Here is one white mom who doesn't give permission to use that kind of language in reference to anyone! Taking it to the level of what's permissible in the home.... would any of us want our kids growing up saying things like this? I think not!
Just called the station... Asked if such behavior was "acceptable".
The response?
"That was just the host of the program. It wasn't us."
Typical libs... no sense of moral outrage unless it's against conservatives...
Here is the number for the business office 608-273-1000, ask for the G.M.
I spoke to the G.M. of the station and he thought the whole matter was funny ... he laughed when I asked when this moron Sly would be fired!!
So liberal talk radio and liberal media are overtly and publicly using racism to attack the future US Secretary of State because she has dark skin and African features?
This is the best (or worst) elite liberal journalists and intellectuals can offer as an alternative discourse to conservatism?
Will the USA be amending our definitions of hate speech and our EOT training programs to allow for racist public statements and lampoons against people of certain political views- since the media reps claim it is "permissible" by the black majority, of course.
Time to get a list of their advertisers and make the appropriate calls and emails.
Aunt Jemima? Massa Rumsfeld? Uncle Tom? Boob?
Oh, but since black listeners gave him permission, it's okay to be a racist asshole. Now would all the black listeners who gave this guy "permission", step forward?
Thanks to people like him, not to mention untalented cartoonists, we're in for a long ride...
Vanilla Ice, baby!
Midwest FAMILY Broadcast Co. owns this radio station. Their phone number is 608-273-1000. Let them hear about this. They had no knowledge of it when I called them.
Has anyone contacted the FCC. I wonder how Michael Powell would feel about having his father called an "Uncle Tom". Doesn't seem like a smart move does it.
His name is John Sylvester & he is the program director at WTDY.
Have contacted the station myself already about this matter...the left is outrageous and this demonstrates that there are two sets of rules: one for the peons & another for those 'enlightened elitists'!
email addresses for officers/executives of Midwest FAMILY Broadcast, the radio station owner: Let them hear from you!

The dems are monumentally mean people. They're saying this about Condi (and dems are for minorities). Teresa's insult to housewives, teachers and librarians (dems foster feminism where women can choose ANY career path). Edwards' and Kerry's attack on Mary Cheney (dems "feel your pain" -- are supposed to be caring people). They're nasty, mean people -- and mean people suck.
..hmmm...guess sharpton and jackson's lines must be busssay
since they ain't be respondin

Racism is any time you expect a person to believe or behave a certain way because of their race. In this case, comments such as 'Uncle Tom' do exactly this. If you are black, you are expected to hold to liberal beliefs and are expected to vote Democratic. This isn't any different than when blacks (slaves) were expected to believe they were inferior and to behave in the way their owner desired. Also, the phrase 'Uncle Tom' is never applied to other than blacks, another indication this is a racist term.
