As you see I pulled my thread the day you all jumped on me and didn't respond to this post, but I do understand this poster. I decided to just shut up and pray you are right.
I think you tenured here at FR should have a little more compassion and don't automatically assume everybody is a troll. While you laugh at your little pictures and lingo..
it's offensive and hurtful to well intentioned posters on the receiving end.
Larry Kramer is one of the forefathers of the gay movement.
I suspect if there were a gay Mt Rushmore his head would be on it. He gave a speech recently, here is an excerpt:
Have you ever wondered how many
men you killed? I know I murdered some of them. I just know. You know how you sometimes know things? I know. Several hundred over a bunch of years, I have to have murdered some of them, planting in him the original seed.
_________
He yells at them for not using protection and for using crystal meth and the orgies etc. but there has been no real meaningful effort by gay groups to stop the behavior. In 1981 when it was first seem as a rare cancer in gay men there were 41 cases. Now, over 70 million people are infected with the HIV virus.
I think this is one of the reason some want to teach our teen boys it's okay to be gay...get them while their young, inexperienced and disease-free.
If he (an icon in their community) can't get them to listen than we have to try and get our government to listen. We need to elect those like-minded individuals who will not try and promote gay agendas.
I would ask you think twice before shunning and shooting the messenger.
