I don't really know the answer to Mexico --- I think they might be better off with some civil war that divides the land up --- some Mexicans would do better with a privatized system --- but I'm really not sure about all --- plus some of the Indians are really very stubborn about clinging to ways that worked for them for centuries --- they are a communal people and they resist change fiercely --- centuries of Spanish rule has not wiped out their basic nature.
Sometimes I think Mexico's problems is that it is really two or three very separate cultures.

Well said. I love the place, but as you say there seems to be no solution. It just is what it is. "Como Mexico no hay dos"...

(Seriously I saw a program on the History Channel with people that literally believed the CFR and the Bilderbergers ran the U.S.) It's information in this article that gives credibility to the opinions expressed by those our government labels the 'wacko' fringe. Brings to mind the false character assassinations the government was feeding America before they massacred every man woman and child ( eighty-seven in total ) in Waco, Texas.

"[Mexican illegal] Maximiliano Silerio Esparza pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges that he raped two nuns and killed one of them as they walked and prayed on a bike path last September."AuntB: "Five out of 6 news articles didn't even bother to mention he was illegal".
Before we go to meet our Maker, the cork on this bottle is going to pop......and I can't think of a better way to close my last chapter.

Craig McCaw, founder of McCaw Cellular had an interesting idea. He wanted to buy Baja California for about $150M, and turn it around like one would turn around any other corporation. After you see the real estate prices rise to the same level as Orange County or San Francisco and an immense creation of wealth, his group could be free to pursue the remaining parts of Mexico and other parts of Central America in a similar operation. The whole thing could be turned into a patchwork of territories with their own unique tourist-driven economies. I find it fascinating. The end result is the same -- one big country.

"OVER MY DEAD BODY!,"In light of recent events, it may be time to at least dicker with the mortician over "arrangements."

A tri-national task force, chaired by former Liberal Party deputy prime minister John Manley, with the full backing of all three governments, is plotting the roadmap for this new, bolder alliance meant to compete with the European Union. William Weld, former governor of Massachusetts and Pedro Aspe, former Mexican finance minister, join Manley on the panel that reports directly to the Council on Foreign Relations."WTF!!!!"
"When did the CFR take over these united States of America?"
Oh??
Are we still a "sovereign nation?"

"Come on everybody ... it's not like we didn't understand all along that those addicted to their Free Trade Drug, wouldn't completely sacrifice the sovereignty of their own country, our United States, if they could make a buck or two in the process. The agenda of the New World Order according to the ruling elites and their whore lapdogs, is proceeding right along under the new Republican administration ... just as it did under the Klinton gangsters."
