Charlene seemed like a wild woman ... my kinda gal! ;) To each his own, I guess. :)
Andy also had a chance with three or four girls other girls--all named Mary. Pick any Mary at random and it would've been a better choice than Helen Crump!

Pick any Mary at random and it would've been a better choice than Helen Crump! Not Mary Grace (aka Ralph from "Green Acres") ;)

Yeah, her! "She's nice. Real nice!"

I've often thought that at the end of that episode, when Andy, Barney, Helen and Thelma Lou return home, if would be funny if they opened the door and saw Gomer and Mary Grace dancing naked. ROTFLMAO!!!

Boy, another opportunity for a Carter-lovin', outspoken, has-been liberal Democrat to cash in....just what we've been waiting for!

ALF? That could fit on one disc :)

I think my husband can recall the plot line of just about every Andy Griffith episode I used to be able to do that, but over many years of little TV watching, I lost that.
Great to see the release on DVD. I'm sure all that ingraind memory will surface.

Opie the Birdman always made my mom cry That and the bedjacket ep were the best non-funny ones.
To: Mr. Buzzcut
Augh ... there's a color ep on now ...

Has anyone ordered and seen the Andy Griffith DVD's and VCR tapes crap selling over at RiverinSouthAmerica.com? I have all of the episodes released so far. There aren't that many out and they have to use a different theme song for some reason , which is annoying.

The theme song is under copyright, but those 16 particular episodes of TAGS is not. That's why you hear that weird music.
Rest assured the theme song, along with every scene, is in tact in this new DVD release :)

When are they going to release a DVD set of Tales From The Darkside? After the boxed set of "Dark Shadows"?

Come on, that show rocked!
Even that eerie theme music-as the camera panned across the rapidly decaying trees-was awesome.
I have to go back on that "Jumped The Shark" website and see how many years it actually ran for. I think it was probably one of those shows like "The Odd Couple" or "The Honeymooners", which only ran for a few years before going into syndication and ultimately, being canceled by the network.
