Also, I will not challenge your patriotism. I've seen you on the forums, and I won't pretend to think you aren't every bit a patriot. I just see it differently is all.
The protester MAY be misguided.....but I would NOT support, in any way shape or form, a LAW that prohibits burning the flag in protest.

I dont think anyone has any more rights to burn the flag than they have to burn down the US Supreme Court Building.
Just because it is smaller does not mean it is any less symbolic.
Just because they purchased that flag they burned doesnt mean they own it, That flag belongs to the people of the United States. The same as the one flying in my yard isnt mine , it belongs to America. I am merely holding it in trust for Americans and I hold that trust dearly.
When I said leave the country I was speaking to those who would desecrate our flag , if you have no intention to do that then you shouldnt be upset by it.

Actually I'm pretty dissappointed. Something this important and there are only a handful of people willing to debate it.
For those who believe our way of life is threatened by the distruction of a piece of clothe ... I guess homeland security is a comfort to you, and the searches upon boarding a plane, and the assault weapons ban, and the Brady bill, and the other 'protections' our government 'provides' for us.
