One always hopes and prays that the abortionist doctors would follow Dr. Nathanson's example...

I can't figure out how you get 1st degree murder on killing Laci but only 2nd degree murder on killing the fetus. Doesn't it stand to reason that if killing the mother was premeditiated murder that killing the child she was carrying was also premeditated?

Am I missing something or doesn't that fit in the "well, duh" category?

More blue state justice, I suppose.

Hi all,

Prepare for the hypocrisy of the left on this one.

They will be happy if this scumbag gets the needle, but they won't be happy that a child was defined as a life.

The special Circumstances apply in this because of the child, and it was a multiple murder.

I've always use the following analogy when dealing with abortion supporters.

1) I am pro-choice, I believe every child should have a choice in whether they are killed or not. We should wait until that child turns 18 for that decision.

2) I am against the death penalty, I believe all life should be protected and advocate 6x6 boxes with reruns of certain 50's sitcoms for scum that commits crimes like these.

3) Let's say that a woman who is pregnant is killed by a drunk driver while making a left hand turn. The left will be fine with prosecuting for two murders and special circumstances, but what if the woman was turning left into an abortion clinic?

Abortion is humanly wrong.

The death penalty is humanly wrong.

Prosecuting for murder when a pregnant woman is killed, and counting those lives as two is the RIGHT thing to do.

Regards,
Joe

Yuk, my local news has super abortion supporter Gloria Allred on now.

Holy Irony Batman! As Amber Frey's attorney, super abortion supporter Gloria Allred helped get Scott Peterson convicted of killing an unborn child!

Their only explanation is that an unborn child is the property of the mother until birth. But we all agree that no human should ever be somebody's property.
This may bum them out more than 4 more.

I don't agree with you on the death penalty, but your reasoning is sound.

Your examples on abortion point out the internal contradictions of the "pro-choice" position. I used to think I was "pro-choice" too, but as I have grown older and wiser (not to mention becoming a Christian) I have changed my mind. I have even grappled with what I would do myself if I were to get pregnant now. Although I am happily married and have two beautiful children, I am in my late 40s and have a great career. A baby would certainly intrude on my life right now. And I am taking precautions, but all of those are imperfect. I have decided that if I get pregnant, it is simply God's will that I have more children, and God does not give us more than we can handle! Even though a child conceived at my age has a high probability of Down's syndrome and other problems, I could not abort it if God has given it to me and entrusted me with its soul. God will show me the way to take care of it and my family will love him or her.

I do not understand why anyone who claims to believe in God can presume to destroy what He has made. (This is the strongest argument against the death penalty, and I respect those who hold this belief, so long as they also apply it to abortion.) And those who do not believe in God are a distinct minority in our society, and should not be able to dictate the law on something as fundamental as life itself.

A society that permits wanton destruction of innocent life, for the sake of mere convenience, is doomed.

What a great November!! First, President Bush is re-elected and we don't have to see John Kerry and Theresa anymore. Aaaah. But it doesn't stop there. Then Arafat dies. aaah. And NOW, Scott Peterson gets First Degree Murder. In California. And Redwood City is right on the coastal strip. But they got it. Sweet Justice.

They won't even acknowledge that it happened. They will cram some other scandal down our throats until that little inconvenient fact is just a distant memory.

Sorry you were taken from this world by your daddy little Connor but you were with your mommy the whole time. Your grandparents and family were robbed of the joy of holding you and watching you grow. But...justice has been served and hope you and mommy are both happy in heaven. That's a comfort for us all. God bless you both.
