Point out their intolerance and exclusion
Clearly, their actions are offensive.
Use their tools against them.
http://www.palestineconference.com/principles.html is their website.
This organization gives plenty of approval for the efforts of those leading the Intifada. Thus their refusal to denounce violence is silent approval and acceptance for the strategy and tactics of sending children out to be suicide bombers on innocent non-military-target victims in Israel without any due process. I find such groups that give safe harbor to these pro-terrorism ideas to be potentially very dangerous.
Maybe Duke University should apologize. However I think we shouldn't rule out that the FBI might have used such an event for their own intelligence-gathering purposes. If this is the case then we'll probably have more pro-Intifada conferences happen here on US soil in meeting rooms that are painted and dry-walled to help people get their messages and conversations documented better into appropriate intelligence databases.
Guiding Principle #5
As a solidarity movement, it is not our place to dictate the strategies or tactics adopted by the Palestinian people in their struggle for liberation.

Why are these slimeballs still walking around among free people. Treason and sedition are still crimes in this country (unless you're the DemoRat presidential candidate)! Also, pass along whatever info you have to the NC Bureau of Investigation?
Thanks ... I've already emailed and phoned. The phone message was taken rather rudely, I'm sorry to say. Therefore I've written a physical letter and copied it to several departments, including the Dean of the School within Duke from which I graduated.
Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
The secretary there referred me to this link: President Richard H. Brodhead on the Palestine Solidarity Movement Conference
http://www.dukenews.duke.edu/psm/brodhead.html
A sample:
We have received many phone calls, letters, and e-mails supporting Dukes decision to allow the conference. But these have been overwhelmed by communications condemning us, based largely on information, much of it inaccurate, in a petition circulating on the Internet.
Is the Palestine Solidarity Movement part of the International Solidarity Movement or terrorist groups?
Duke's understanding from multiple sources is that the Palestine Solidarity Movement, while related to the International Solidarity Movement, is a distinct and separate organization. Extensive inquiries, also with police authorities, have revealed no evidence to support a claim that there is a connection between terrorist groups and the Palestine Solidarity Movement, which is a largely student organization. (from duke's website)
(and THIS from ISM's website http://www.palsolidarity.org/)... "The International Solidarity Movement also has history with President Arafat. ISM activists stood by President Arafat and the Palestinian people during the brutal invasion by the Israeli army in March and April of 2002. (from ISM website http://www.palsolidarity.org/)
Now if I can find a connection in three minutes, why couldn't Pres. Brodhead find one??? My guess: HE DIDN'T WANT TO!
"Isn't it fascinating that what makes the Left sympathetic with the Wahabbis is their mutual hatred of the United States and their willingness to express their hatred through violence."
They certainly do have that in common. Sounds like "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" syndrome. (check out my tagline)
But what's ironic is that it only goes one way. Even though the libs are sympathetic to the terrorists, the terrorists would blow liberals up just as quick as they'd blow us up. When Bin laden made that campaign tape for skerry - it wasn't because he LIKES skerry - he just knew how weak he would've been on the WoT.

Everyone - please continue to FREEP Duke University!
As a University of Kentucky Alum do really think I care what happens to Duke? Go Wildcats!
"As a University of Kentucky Alum do really think I care what happens to Duke? Go Wildcats!?"
You should care, because eventually leave campus.
The article does note that many campuses have this goint on.
Within a month of 9/11 we had a pro-Palestinian rally on my campus [George Mason University] in suburban DC. It was not the only one.
The latest one was in SF.

Hey wally, I was kind of thinking along the same lines. My thought was:
Palestine Solidarity Movement...
Coming soon to a campus NEAR YOU (if it isn't there already, that is)
And there probably isn't a "Stephen Miller" at each one of those campuses either - someone willing to take the blinders off, stand up to the terrorists, and say something (and say it, and say it, and say it until people listen)! This is one of those times where FReepers can really make a difference, I truly believe that.
So do what you do best FReepers! FREEP DUKE!
Several high-schoolers have taken an interest in this matter and will be contacting Brodhead with their "rejection letters".
Rachel Corrie's complicit parents receiving a certificate from Arafat that rewarded them for creating their daughter and sacrificing her to the "cause".
Evergreen College, where the Corrie's sent their daughter to complete her training. She majored in Hate.
This is great news, TR! There are young adults out there that give me hope for this country's future. My daughter has made a copy of Stephen's article to bring to school and share with her friends on Monday. Here's an excerpt from another article by Stephen Miller:
How I Changed My Left-Wing High School
"Even before I had formal scientific evidence of my high school's hard-left bent, I had resolved to challenge the campus indoctrination machine. It was after my school's response to the 9/11 attacks that I decided to become involved. During that dreadful time of national tragedy, anti-Americanism had spread all over the school like a rash. The co-principal broadcasted his doubts about the morality of the air strikes against the Taliban to the entire school via the PA system. One teacher even dragged the American flag across the floor-as we were sending off brave young men to risk their lives for it. It was then that I first took action, writing to prized radio personality Larry Elder. He invited me to discuss these issues on his program, which immediately drew the ire of the teachers, administrators, and even my fellow students. Their resistance only strengthened my resolve."
