Right now I am listening to Rush Limbaugh through his website and Rush 24/7 and Hannity through his website ... I am personally boycotting WISN until they do the right thing here. I dont listen to WISN in the morning anyway, since I listen to Charlie Sykes ... but I even gave up Homer for WTMJ's Sports Central.

YEah, being bilingual is great -- all the kids should learn more than one language. But teaching the immigrant kids in spanish rather than teaching them to speak english is abhorrent and one of the biggest problems in America today. And only liberal doublethink can justify it because it makes no sense.

Agreed ... if I had time, I'd love to learn a second language. But as a teacher and working on my Master's degree with other teachers, we have a solid consensus that teaching kids in a language other than English has caused more problems that it has solved. Schools are also making language programs more readily available to students, which is a good thing. I don't know any French ... unless you count "I surrender."

yes, there is a couple of wisconsin protest warrior chapters. I know there is a milwaukee and madison chapters. Go the www.protestwarrior.com site and follow links to the chapter of your choice. Email confirmation is required to join, and it took me a few days to get in (just joined the MKE chapter around election time).

I'll ping the chapter president when I get home to ask him to approve freepers who up today. Maybee we can get a good turnout tomorrow.

I would like to end this column on a personal note. I have been informed by Conley Media and the editors of this paper that this column will continue to appear in its regular spot each week. They have refused to bow to demands that I be replaced. The same message has been given to me by the Conley folks who publish a weekly paper in which I write a separate column and by Hometown Publications, a chain that also carries the other column.

I appreciate this support deeply, particularly as it comes at a time in which individuals who want to silence my voice are applying an enormous amount of heat. If those of us with a rightist perspective are gagged every time we err, the only media left will be, well, the Journal Sentinel. Thanks for the support.
