Shouldn't we be writing and calling President Bush.
Back when articles of impeachment looked like they might not make it out of committee, Bob Barr called us and asked that we get a lot of loud people on the steps of the House. We did.
That (and many other things) is what we have to do now -- not for a day or a week, but all the way to January. I'm talking about hundreds of thousands of very shrill monomaniacs screaming for Specter's political blood.
I meant #41 for you?
Well said and a good possible strategy.
Thankyou! It's a terrific website!

Don't forget to call Frist and Santorum as well. Cap Hill Switchboard is 202-225-3121.
The leadership needs to keep in mind that there are millions of us out here who do not want Specter to be given the chairmanship. It would be bad for us, bad for the country.
This will keep on until they select someone else.
I've made calls calling on the Senate to consider someone else ... but there is one thing to be careful of.
Santorum is up for reelection in 2006. we need to make sure he is not put in a bad spot or we will lose a very good senator.
With all of this real time input to Specter and the other senators watching Specter take the slings for his comments, I wonder if other RINO's will get the message and moderate their position to take a sharp right and hold. The senators have never had such instant real time pressure placed. They were able to work deals in the cloak rooms. Specter is getting a dose of what CBS and Capt. Dan got. Rather was shell shocked when in less than 1 hour he was exposed as a liar and fraud. Same thing happened to Specter, and can happen to anyone who gets in the way of the people's will. I hope they will duely note and tell us the truth on issuess instead of spin. The people could really have the boys on the hill represent us for once. We should, however be careful not to eat our own. Just make them sleep with one eye open.

Well, if the Senate "leadersh*t" won't do it's job, I guess somebody has to.
The American people are waking up, they have been lied to and their law and their culture have been undermined by a cartel of anti-Christian, anti-truth LIARS.
The dirty, lying cartel of 'legal elites' have rewritten the constitution and with their leftist allies have used this revision to overturn any law (no matter how legally solid and constitutionally valid it has always been) that suddenly does not agree with the new, 'improved', ACLU-Hollywood version of the constitution.
These elitist criminals then make the claim that traditional, conservative Americans are making some sort of power play to move the country to the right.
Are they insane, or are they just bald-faced liars?
These gifted liars feel free to pervert any standing law and also to make new law from the bench while ignoring basic principles and precedents.
These bilge pumps of deception then write 1,000 page books justifying their lies, pat each other on the back for their 'bravery' in the face of those horrible strict constructionists, then accuse conservatives of causing a split...HUH, are you kidding me?
People who lie in this manner are worshippers of Marx and Stalin who did a great deal of lying as themselves, you know, for the good of the people.
Specter supports this type of 'legal elitism' instead of legal truth, his record speaks for itself. He lied about Bork, he can't be trusted.
No.
Burn him. Don't coddle him.
We've got plus five: and the rest are looking at this. If Specter decides the democrats are going to love him because he supports abortion, what have we lost?
OK.
So he Jeffords.
What power will he have as a 46th person minority? Is he any closer to naming judges over there?
well said Old Landmarks
I mentioned nothing about coddling him.
I am assessing the pros and cons. He may not be a conservative, but he still has voted with us on other issues.
Understand the dilemma. I agree he isn't trustworthy on judicial nominations. Yet destroying someone that would vote in favor of our other proposals isn't rational. It could one day come to a deciding vote cast by Spectre, and I'd rather avoid that scenario of a payback vote by him. I'd prefer a method that would allow him to save "face", but remove the ability to interfere with the advancement of our judicial picks.
Barring that third option, I lean toward his removal as chair because judges are too important to risk obstruction on our own bench.
I am not of a mind to risk our judicial picks, but my need for vengence is not so great I need him publicly humiliated in the process.
ABSOLUTELY!
