I just have to keep sharing these comments by freeper "xzins" on another thread:
Work Teams.
Conservative Christian/Pro-Life/Pro-Family political work teams are saying privately that they will not offer coordinated workers and staffing for republicans supporting Specter.
Work teams are worth untold millions of dollars to politicians.
Political suicide to oppose.

I'm hearing it from all over.
They fight for judicial appointments or they get no workers. Period.
Judiciary is THE ISSUE that has caused the Pro-Life/Pro-Family/Pro-God/Pro-Guns groups to pour their hearts into Repub campaigns for 2 decades now.
And now it's close. Cross them now and lose them forever.

WOW!Everything you said! im with you and so is all of God fearing America.HEAR HEAR!
Super rant. It should be printed out and distributed by the conservative base.
That was before we picked up 4 new Senate seats and improved the majority, I think they were just hedging their bets, trying to keep a sitting senator and just holding on to the Senate. Now, they have a serious problem, with Specters position on abortion, affirmative action, and tort reform. He will be just as bad Kennedy as chairman.
That's not true in Michigan. There was no dust-up with a Senate pick here and clearly, for social conservatives, Bush was the choice. It just wasn't the issue here. Michigan has the fourth highest unemployment rate in the country and some claim we lost more manufacturing jobs than any other state. This is a State with an economy based on another era.
And so we need to thank [wink] Al Gore
