A veritable smorgasbord.
Vex and the City.
It's impossible to understand the liberal mind because it has no basis in logic.
A Ga.Tech student would not have been so stupid.
What the hell do you buy when you are intending to kill yourself?
Only things I could think of that made sense would be things like staying in really nice hotels, gourmet restaurant eats, Broadway play, etc. Would be really interesting to see an itemized statement, wouldn't it?
Well, if this liberal, two-timing loser didn't accomplish anything else, he did reveal the very shoddy surveilance at ground zero. Someone should be fired, big time!
In that group I call them the,"Unmagnifio Seven" six are yankees and one is a former teacher NEA. These fools are psuedo self-styled leaders who think because they have wealth we should let them control our destiny. Well, in layman's terms, "It Ain't Gonna Happen." Actually we have probably close to five thousand residents(many snow-birds) in our community. We have four districts here and the liberals(M-7) live in largest one. We created our district to stop them from having voter control over our area which is mostly rural. They have in the past conducted community meetings in which they have used the folowing liberal utopian concepts, 1. We must move forward into the 21st century for the (children).(this is a retirement community) 2. If we would all agree to (Unify) become their minions our community would prosper. 3. A mayor and city council would be (more knowledgable) in the (needs) of the community. 4.We need our own police department for a better response to CFS(call for service to (all the crime)in our community. 5. There needs to be some type of (legal controlling authority) at a municipal level.6. Taxes would increase (slightly?) on residents of the community once incorporation took place. 7. If we were to (incorporate) our community could be (so much more). We could (add jobs) to our community by having city employees. 8. By incorporating our community everything would be everything. This liberal warped delusional mindset is what these (M-7) klowns always purport at the those few and far between community meetings. I have noticed some of the attendees look like sheep waiting to be slaughtered by this group insisting they know what is best for us. I would have to say some of the sheeple think it is best to go along to get along with these fools. The M-7, all democrats have people planted at the meetings who stand up and voice their spoon fed support of this measure. All the liberal lackey's got highly offended at me at their last community meeting. I asked to speak to all parties concerned. Reluctantly, one of the lackies handed me the microphone. I then said; Is life so dear and peace so sweet that it can be bought at the price of slavery? Beware of the snakeoil salesman who offers you something for nothing. Do we really need another layer of government and higher taxes? Revenue for an incorporated town means it will come to us in the form of higher property taxes and city taxes. I my self could sustain a higher tax, but this matter is not about me it is about the retirees on a fixed income who could not stand another tax in their daily lives plus paying a salary for a mayor, city council, city clerk, police dept and equipment. Well the liberals were shocked and the crowd applauded. The sheeple immediately left with some astute knowledge concerning the tactics of the liberal elitist snakeoil salesmen. Our community has one of the lowest crime rates in Alabama. A proud Republican, Retired Army/ civil service, and lifetime NRA member. Never to Quit!! Thank you for lending and ear. NSNR
The real reason he killed himself was that he was living a lie--he was a vegetarian yet he was named after meat. Any bets this peaceful vegetarian was pro-choice?
Hmm ... she was too good for him but good enough that he could rack up her credit card before he offed himself. Hope she isn't held liable for the spree - and both women should count their blessings. What a jagoff.
Darwin Award Nominee
Actually, I don't think you're being crass at all. Just watch how the Media spin the story: a nice kind man driven to acts of desperation in "Bush's Amerika". It's a variant of the old "He was always such a quiet boy..." storyline.
Never mind that sweet, quiet, vegetarian liberals don't frequently blow their brains out with a shotgun in an extremely visible place. This was an act of explosive rage, as so many public suicides are.
You're probably still lucid enough to realize that you've answered your own question.
Ignorance of politics and human nature knows no age, gender or intellectual level. Ofter all, a significant percentage of that 48% among us don't know that they are ignorant, lacking in judgement and culturally suicidal. The tools for climbing out of your ignorance are all around you. Why do you need a baby sitter to read the signs to you?

Prayers to his family and soul. Sadly, it sounds like the poor guy had drank the kool-aid of the liberal left. The celebrities and politicians who played with young peoples emotions by painting such a false, bleak picture of the future under George Bush share some of the responibility for this sad event.
It's Bush's fault, eh? Yes the media whores are at it again, making the suicide of an obviously depressed person a national story to underscore the unhappiness of the American people with the Bush re-election.
This man was obviously very sick, and they have no shame.
Bet he charged the shotgun too. Wouldnt that be something? She has to pay for the shotgun he killed himself with...
We were all misled, but that's not the same as being lied to. A portion of the misinformation came from internal Iragi illusionists. They were telling Saddam what he wanted to hear.
Some of the info may have been inaccurate, but the bottom line is that Saddam was too dangerous a man to allow to get too powerful. Other countries may be in similar circumstances, but at least Iraq had violations of UN mandates outstanding which could be cited as a reason for lending military force to an otherwise laughably ineffectual UN.
It really isn't about responding to terrorist acts -- it's about dealing with terrorist threats. And Iraq was a big one. So was Libya, but the example posed by Iraq rather re-ordered Qaddaffi's thinking, eh?
This is global stakes Poker-Chess, and the rules are still being worked out. We may not be able to see exactly what each party is holding as their hole card, but we know the stakes are such that we can't afford to lose.
Both suffered from pain from illness, and this was their way out. Hard for a 10 year old to understand, but I did.
So, I do know a bit about the suffering that the family is going through because of their loss.
That being said, my feelings here about Mr. Veal are good riddance. Guess I'm just a cold-hearted bastard who could care less if one, two, or ten million of these people move or commit sucicide. They are my enemy, and their death does not move my soul one lousy inch.
I feel that I was lied to about this war.
--Why?
I feel that UBL hated Saddam (yes, I am familiar with the fact that both were mass murderers).
--I feel that, too. Saddam and UBL were not pals. In fact, they agreed to disagree. However, that has not thing one to do with our invasion of Iraq in my mind. The war in Iraq is and was about terrorism. Not Al Qaeda. Not UBL. Terrorism. And Saddam was a major funds source for it in Palestine and abroad. If only one terrorist attack on the U.S. was funded by Saddam, I would reckon you would be for it, correct? There is no question that Saddam planned the assassination of George HW Bush. And I think that alone would have made him a deserving target.
And I think this war was a victory for UBL, because it distracted from the WOT.
---Here, again, we differ. I'm sure UBL is happy that there was some distraction on the part of the coalition forces, who noticed that suddenly, they had to defend themselves against France and Germany as well as the Islamists. But I disagree totally that there was any distraction from the war on terror. When you have a leader in Iraq paying off Palestinians to be suicide bombers, can you honestly say this man is not supporting terror?
Give me links to websites if you need to; just tell me why my country has not lost its mind.
--Gosh, I don't need links to tell you that. We realized on 9/11 that terrorism isn't something you stop at the border--you stop it where it is, before it gets to the border! That seems sane and reasonable to me.
I'll probably still disagree, and that's OK. I just don't want to think we've gone mad. I usually go on left-wing sites, so maybe there's something I don't know.
--I don't think there's anything you don't know. I just don't think that left-wing sites are willing at all to take the same facts and be reasonable about them. I suspect you buy this hook, line, and sinker.
For example, I have a leftist friend whose take on Dubya coming to NY after 9/11 was "Bush waited to show up a week after 9/11 and then he stopped all the work for a speech and pictures. At least Rudy pitched in, and immediately!"
Now, I can see how you might view this as a photo-op if you're already cynical about the guy. But I honestly can't bag him for being there, because he chose between two bad options.
First, if he didn't go, people would ask why not.
Second, if he went too soon, people would ask why he was distracting from the task at hand. And why he put himself at risk.
Third, if there is one person most responsible for the accident causing much confusion, who should be the goat, it is Rudy, who over myriad warnings located the emergency command center for NYC where? In the WORLD TRADE CENTER! He damn well should have been digging. He buried a lot of those people.
But, to the point, I cannot fathom how the left can look at Bush and act like he is the AntiChrist all the time. If FDR didn't go to Pearl Harbor, I don't recall Republicans harping on it. They didn't trust FDR, but they trusted him to prosecute the war. Democrats should do the same with Bush.
I am no koolaid drinker--I don't trust Bush's judgment on every issue. But I trust it on some important ones. And I generally trust him to at least stick with his opinions, certainly, compared to a man like Kerry and a party like the Democrat party. Both Kerry and the Democrat party have to hide their real politics to get elected. If Kerry had stated "I am for partial birth abortion," or "Thank GOD for affirmative action!" or "We need MORE welfare funding, not less!" he would have been honest. And he would have lost even worse. Even some of the Blue states would have swung.
No, Bush may not be the ideal president, but I'd rather have someone I think is honest about his opinions, and honestly likely to defend the country before it's attacked, than someone who is likely to try taking UBL to the World Court for his crimes after the fact.
