I have never gone past a Wal-Mart that didn’t have blue bags blowing all over the place.I guess it will give the pyramids a little color.

I've never been to a popular fishing spot that didn't have discarded Eagle Claw packaging and empty Miller beer cans all over the place.

The air pollution in that area is some of the worst in the world.

Between smog and tourist climbing all over the pyramid (and taking chunks home to use as a bookends) tourist at the pyramids will do more harm than Wal Mart could ever do simply by conducting business near by.

That region has been bursting at the seams from the exploding population and rural unemployed people moving to the area for a chance at getting a job.

I would wager mores slums (than Wal Marts) have popped up all over the place to produce tons of trash , all built according to building codes of course. ;)

The "old culture" of the Aztecs is one of those cultures that the world is a better place without it. Yes, they had some fantastic architectural, artistic, and agricultural features that were admirable but it just wasn't worth all of the human sacrifices that went along with it.
