"They have not consistently recruited and trained and encouraged and educated their secondary guys to become first-team players... When you start looking through their ranks, they just don't have any noticeable talent."

Anybody else find it revolting when the Dims' problems are blamed on personnel, like a sports team, rather than bad ideas? If the reporter has to be neutral (which is not the same as objective - Dims' ideas are objectively bad) he could at least have interviewed someone who could have laid it out there. On the other hand, as long as it is seen as a people problem, one can hope they sink lower. There really are two possibilities, adopt conservative ideas and become redundant or keep going and become ever more irrelevant.

I like when they blame it on irrelevant things like bench strength and gay marriage and stuff like that.

Keep focusing on the wrong things kids, we like it like that.

It's the spoiled brat mentality! These people are so pickish and arrogant they are blinded to the reality of why they are losers.

Newt Gingrich was absolutely right about them. Since the sixties they built up this horrific "Selfishness" and it came back to bite them on their asses in this election.

You can not force immorale values on a country founded on the Idea that "values" are what make your country great.

And Bill O'Reilly is absolutely right about the "secularist" trying to shove there will on what is basically a values, there is a right/wrong to everything society.

America is a great Idea, and we are not about to turn it over to those who would squander it! That's what you saw in the results of this election!

You are right, they really aren't grasping that "it's the ideology, stupid". They basically run on themes from the 1930s (two americas, people vs. the powerful, etc.) and tht 1960s (free love, let it all hang out, people vs. the powerful, etc.).

They need some NEW AND IMPROVED ideas, but I for one can't imagine what they would be. I'd love to see them jettison their support for abortion, hedonism, socialism, defference to the international "community" etc.; but you are right, what's left for them to champion?

As I was saying all along rather confidently, Florida was defiently a red state. I couldnt see Bush losing with Jeb's approval ratings around 65-70%. Sad as the hurricanes were, they provded a boost to President Bush. Love my home state.:)

Dimocrats have always done the talk, Republicans are doing the walk. How many times have you heard them talk about jobs, Social Security, Medicare, schools, yadda yadda yadda. Our President has taken action. Republicans must perform and hold public those dims who are standing in the way. The voters will do the rest.

I just heard the best one yet. On CSPAN. 7:40am Sunday.

A woman caller just said "they are planting chips in people's bodies without their knowledge"!

So that's why I voted for Bush!

Someone planted a chip inside my body without my knowledge!

(What's a good market play on mood-elevator drugs?)

On one hand, I agree. The DemoRat Party is based upon bad ideas - bad for government, bad for the country, bad for people. They have a motley collection of failed, racist Socialist and Communist beliefs. Unfortunately, their combination of propaganda and lies is enough to convince close to half of the public to vote for them.

On the other hand, the DemoRats do have a personnel problem. I was depressed by the DemoRat primaries because only liars, scumbags, racists, and thieves were put forth for the nomination. This was not surprising since the party leadership is scum - McAwful and the Clintons, their Congressional leadership is scum - D'A$$hole and Pelosi. The only DemoRat of high office that showed any integrity is Zell MIller...and he retired out of disgust with his party. A great deal of failure on the part of the Rats is that they are a party of criminals. If they had a better class of people in their ranks, they would have more success.

As to the Presidential election. I am getting tired of the media canard that "values" won the campaign for Pres. Bush. He won because of two primary attributes. First, he put forth better ideas to carry the nation through the next four years while Kerry offered either no ideas or very poor ones. Second, he simply was the better person. Pres. Bush is a good man. Kerry is a lying scumbag and all the attacks from the hate-mongering Left could not obfuscate that.

Despite Tuesday's results, he maintains the party is better off than now than when he took over, saying it has built an infrastructure, has more money in the bank and is doing well in local races.

Well, this explains it - they're dizzy from all of the spinning of the facts that they do.

Something else to consider. A lot of SE Florida FDR bluehairs won't be around in 2008. Florida will be redder still.

Can you say Left Coast? Until the Dems figure it out, and I hope they never do, they will lean left and away from the real values of this country. But, then there is always Canada.

Amazingly Bush won all counties on Fla West Coast including Pinellas and Hilsborough liberal strongholds.
Florida's perception as a "swing state" is false. Kerry won only 8 or 9 counties in Florida!

The Sunshine State GOP's principal goal in 2006 should be to retire Bill Nelson.
