A supporter of Nixon against Kennedy at 9, the teenage Karl was, in his description, "a big nerd," Better than being the class(less) slut.

Back in 1994, Newt Gingrich said he wanted the government to mold the moral character of Americans and wipe out remnants of the "counterculture McGoverniks." He got derailed
Derailed? I hardly think so.

I love how she calles people whoe vote Republican "the forces of darkness" then says we're the ones with Manichean world view. This bim needs to go back to knocking back vodka and pills at Manhanttan dinner parties.

Krugman I can tolerate. She's hideous. Re-cycled wit from cocktail party chatter and "ain't I cute?" smugness dripping from each paragraph.

I gotta admit, she gets me riled up. I want to wipe People-magazine "intellects" like Dowd off the electoral map and we're half way there.

America has always had strains of isolationism, nativism, chauvinism, puritanism and religious fanaticism. Another leftist who makes absolutely no attempt to acknowledge reality. Not that I expect an answer from the Spinster, but how in the world does conservative support for liberating two Muslim countries from fascist leaders constitute instances of either isolationism, chauvinism, puritanism or religious fanaticism?
To: durasell
You nailed it. Dowd is our window into a cocktail party none of us want to attend.

Just how much did Karl Rove hate not being one of the cool guys in high school in the 60's? BWHAHAHAHAHA.... Hey Maureen, you're PROJECTING again!

I can not believe what is happening? These people are unbelievably, friggin CLUELESS!! Their elitism is overwhelming to the point that they're going to put themselves out of power for a century unless they cheat their way into elected positions.
They actually believe "THEY" are smarter than ALL of us and they prove themselves to be nothing more than arrogant prudes!

Even as a high school debater in Salt Lake City, "Rove didn't just want to win; he wanted the opponents destroyed," write James Moore and Wayne Slater in "Bush's Brain." "He would defeat them, slaughter them and humiliate them."
Man, that sounds like Bill Clinton, not Carl Rove. Clinton destroyed many opponents. He was known as the Great Escape Artist. When put into a box with locks and chains, then thrown into the river, he would not only escape, but place his opponents into the box! Just look at the the Special Prosecutors, instances of Arkancide, etc...

This idiot has serious psychological problems. Her lashing out is just a symptom of her extreme hatred for Bush and her frustration that her ideas have been totally rejected by the American public. Lately, she seems to have this need to appear on TV, with this heavy red lipstick that draws attention to a face that startles/frightens you on close-ups (that's as gentle as I can be).
I'm enjoying watching the melt-down of people like Dowd and Krugman (who are made for each other).
