I think the medical community is mixed re. Bush. On the one hand, they make money from abortion. On the other hand, they are suffering from junk lawsuits and high insurance premiums. Which will win out?
I don't particularly understand how we can have things like gay bishops...when you start disagreeing with the Book from which you draw your religious authority, how can you continue to pretend any credibility at all for your religion?
It seems like a sure loser to me, I think the religion cannot survive it. And I'm speaking as one who is not particularly religious.
Ex-Chatham Twp. person here. Nice to hear that Morris County still leans right!
I actually hope that "religion" doesn't survive (i.e., people who put their faith in ritual, traditions of men, and/or their own "ability" to stand blameless before a Holy God). I'd rather see more people saved (by grace) through faith in the finished work of Christ.
"It's so fascinating that they seem to have latched on to this "theocracy" concept. Clearly it indicates how biblically illiterate the libs are. Somehow the God-haters seem to think that such a thing is possible in this age. Christians (and let's face it, it's Jesus who libs really hate) know quite well that a theocracy is not possible until the King of Kings returns to rule and reign in righteousness.
Silly libs, their poor education shows through everytime.....
"
Well you know how it goes...the media is calling it a theocracy...you gotta believe the TV...
Well anyway, the use of the term "theocracy" by the Left and by the lady mentioned in the essay is surely an attempt at scapegoating, if nothing else. Definitely anti Christian.
Kind of scary, looked at from that point of view, but historically consistent with leftist thought.
I have a number of stories here. I deal with them every day.
The most interesting thing about this story is the pure invasive RUDENESS that seems to be part and parcle of being a liberal.
Not just on the internet do libs go where they aren't wanted. More than once, I have been in a situation where some Lib let it rip about the evils of Bush, in a room that was very often mostly conservative.
The most upsetting for me was at a going away party for a student last month. All the students where in attendance. We all know that we are on the extreme ends of the political spectrum, so we have agreed not to discuss politics.
Except for the guest of honor. She let a tirade rip about how the Republicans are screwing the environment, which let another student to chime in. The hostess was obviously upset so I quickly forced the conversation down another path.
We all later discussed how hurt and disappointed about her behavior.
Hrmpt, for manners alone they shouldn't win.
Well, they still don't get it on this subject -- someonce called cSPAN this morning to tell Harold Ickes he would never vote Dem again and hadn't since Carter -- but the view on PBA is too much to condone.
Ickes response: well we are in favor of PBA -- BUT you have to look at our position on healthcare, minimum wages.... and on and on...
You're correct! As much as I am glad I didn't cause (or add to) a scene in a public place, in retrospect, perhaps I should have said: "Excuse me, ma'am. Would you please take your hands off of me and my wife. And, by the way, this is a private conversation, and you were not invited. So go back to your table and let us alone to enjoy the fruits of this great victory."
LOL!
