wow nice map, thanks! I didn't know it was such a large city, but I guess with 300k people it would have to be.

Typical AP. Never do they mention the Iraqi Army units fighting for their country. Great point.

Somehow I think it's going to be different this time, since we don't have to listen to any advice from Horseface.
But if hear, even once, "Operations have been suspended pending the negotiation of a cease fire", I'm gonna puke.

Definitely worth the look. Actually looks like a target area for rodent control.
I keep wondering why fuel air explosives are not used in such environments to save the lives of our precious warriors.

Army unit under Marine command?
If that isn't grounds for desertion, I don't know what is!
Hope you are being sarcastic! This is a major operation and we need 1 military fighting, not inter branch fighting

Yes it is a great map, rox. Now all we got to do is figure out which way is north (straight up, presumably); what the different colored lines represent, and identifying points of interest (bomb factories, ammo dumps, hospitals, schools. You know, where the SMs* normally warehouse and service explosives, weapons and ammunition?)

The reporter is stating our strength to the enemy PRIOR to an assault. WHY can they publish such intel.
Perhaps intimidation and forewarning......Its not like they can call in reinforcements or the "Lone Herder".....

...and U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan has warned U.S., British and Iraqi authorities that a military campaign and "increased insurgent violence" could put elections at risk.
Pardon my abbreviation but WTF? Is Coffee-Can-Anon saying that the insurgent-created violence will detract from the elections, or the violence that is requires to suppress and eliminate the insurgents will detract from the elections? This idiot has got to go!

Kofi spews idiocy on Fallujah Yep, he said it. Sent a letter telling us and Iraq not to attack Fallajah. Guess we failed the global test on that one.
Kofi definitely fails my global test.

"We intend to liberate the people and to bring the rule of law to Fallujah," Allawi said in Brussels after meeting with European Union leaders. A few days ago this guy was in Italy. Has he heard? His nation is at war fighting insurgents and terrorists. He might be needed there.

VATICAN - IRAQ
A papal audience and encouragement for Allawi at the Vatican tomorrow
"The Allawi government needs to be helped". This is what Angelo Cardinal Sodano said little more than a month ago, on September 22. These words will be the backdrop for tomorrow's meeting between the president of Iraq's interim government and John Paul II.

Please pray for our troops.
As Senator Lindsey Graham said today:

"This battle will be THE turning point on the War on Terror."
Get ready--it is going to be bloody--mostly for them.

Prayers for our Boys.
May this be swift, with few casualties for our side, and may the enemy die quickly and roast in the Hell of their choosing.

Within 2 hours of the attack Fallujah will become "HOLY CITY OF FALLUJAH!". Then, the terrorists will hide in mosques.
Nothing follows.
Hope I'm wrong, but the above is 99% likely.
