There is link on her to page to a list of Republican Senators' phone numbers. On her radio show she is urging us to call them.

I called Frist yesterday and left a voice mail congratulating him on an historic achivement and urging him to keep Specter from the judiciary chair.

Sphincter was WAY out of line with his comments yesterday. He is NOT in charge.

Need I remind some that Arlen Specter lead the fight to have Justice Thomas confirmed to the bench. I think the press is playing mind games. Go figure.

Too bad he isn't the same Arlen Specter who fought like a warrior for Clarence Thomas.

Another thing about how amazingly stupid Specter's comments were: he said them immediately after the election, an election in which conservative activists were more involved than any in recent memory.
In other words, he's just invited the massive "machinery", if you will, that's been working effectively for months to re-elect the president and is still in place to turn its sights on him.
What an idiot.

Called Frist's office and said if the GOP allows Specter to chair the Judiciary,
they may as well have left Daschle in office.

Ok...I called to his office in TN, they gave me a different number. It's 202 224 3135. This gets you to Louise in the Majority leaders office.
Here's what I said:
Congrats on Tuesday. It was a great day for the GOP and our country. I just have one comment that I would like passed on to Senator Frist.
She interrupted me and said "is it regarding Senator Specter"? I said yes...we had a good chat and she but me thru to the comment line.
Let's nail this one down!!!

My e-mail to Sen. Chuck Hagel:
Sen. Hagel,
I have recently become concerned about the upcoming nomination of Sen. Arlen Specter as chairman of the Judiciary Committee. I was of course upset when I heard the first reports of Sen. Specter's remarks and ideas on who is a fit nominee for the courts. I understand that he has in fact "retracted" some of those statements, but he has not given me any confidence in his leadership abilities on such important issues. After our clear and convincing win in this last election it would be a shame to see our party back down and fail to rise to the Mandate that the people have given us.
So as to not seem to be just complaining and offering no solutions to the afore mentioned complaint I wholeheartedly suggest that Sen. Chuck Grassley would be an excellent choice if he decides to give up his post as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee for the greater good of the American people and our party.
Respectfully, youre constituent

Too bad he isn't the same Arlen Specter who fought like a warrior for Clarence Thomas. It is. And it is the same Arlen Specter that fought like a warrior to bork Robert Bork.

Justice Thomas was confirmed in October, 1991 - one year before Specter had to run for re-election. Might that have something to do with Specter's support for Thomas?
Specter just got re-elected. He doesn't have to worry for another 6 years, even if he would want to run again.
