again Mr Moore has his facts way wrong. That's like saying Kerry got more votes than FDR. Irrelevant. Adjusted for population percentage it is not even close...
Year | Candidate | Vote | US Population | % of Pop. |
1984 | RONALD REAGAN | 54,455,000 | 234,000,000 | 23.37% |
2004 | JOHN KERRY | 55,902,001 | 291,000,000 | 19.21% |
Well-stated. See my #156 above

I bought it before I saw the movie. It, and many other hymns in that movie, touched my soul.
oops!
To quote Shakespeare: "A tale, told by an idiot...Full of sound and fury..signifying nothing."
That's the shakeTheirFoundationTruth
To make things even worse for Moore's comparison, let's look at Kerry vs Reagan as a percentage of population AND turnout...
Year | Candidate | Vote | US Population | % of Pop. | Total Votes Cast | % of Votes |
1984 | RONALD REAGAN | 54,455,000 | 234,000,000 | 23.37% | 92,652,680 | 58.8% |
2004 | JOHN KERRY | 55,902,001 | 291,000,000 | 19.21% | 115,724,432 | 48.3% |
Blowout, and another falsehood exposed by the blowhard.
My God, I WASTED precious EYE time reading this CRAP?? Where was the troll warning???
I'm sure once Mike is rested up from raiding the student activity funds of colleges around the country spreading his venom and downs a few dozen cheeseburgers he no doubt will want those he likes to refer to as "stupid Americans" aware of these and other facts he inadvertantly forgot to mention.
Have some more Kool-Aide, Michael.
Moore is fudging his claim because he is not making it clear what he is basing his claim upon. If his claim is judged by the electoral vote, then he is right. If it is judged by the percentage, then he is wrong.
In any event his point is as silly as a Crazy Paul Krugman rant, and equally deceptive.
Juding his claim on the popular vote total is silly since only 17,667,827 were cast in 1916.
I agree but plenty here on this forum live for precisely that point Moore made....
It's a bias shared by many who are either naive or belong to some minority.....but would never admit that is their motivation.
Well....I'll admit mine. I'm in the majority (aside from being male) and i don't want to give that up. My forebears stole that land fair and square from the Indians and I see no reason to capitualte now at this late date.
But a much bigger win than is buddy Jimmy (hee hee), he might remember that while maligning Reagan.
Proving once again DemonRats and members of the Rosenberg press can do math unless it involves their paychecks and the taxes they don't pay.
Shut your pie hole, loserfatboy!! No, better yet, keep spewing the same vile stupid crap. Keep the Democrats going down the wrong road. Current and future Republican victors thank you.
If you had 58 yards to go before you reached the goal line and then you barreled down 55 of those yards, would you stop on the three yard line, pick up the ball and go home crying -- especially when you get to start the next down on the three yard line? Of course not! Buck up! Have hope! More sports analogies are coming!!!I doubt he ever played organized sports (other than the "target" position in dodgeball) so I am sure they will be as lame as this one. If you ran 55 yards while needing 58, and the clock ran out, you don't get the ball on the three yard line to start the next game. sheesh.
