Great job guys!

Here's some pics of the lefty losers, taken by an undercover operative :-)

Gotta love those effigies--are we in Pakistan or San Francisco? Same difference.

On a more destructive note, the water in the Yerba Buena fountains was dyed red to symbolize the "blood of empire." Sick stuff. I'd post the link, but it's Indymedia and I don't think they're allowed around here...

black bloc

I live in SF and I haven't heard of this group. Who/what are they?

I don't know if it is a "group" so much as a fringe movement. It involves a certain style of dress (ripped-up and studded black cotton clothes with "anarchist" symbology, black bandanas over the face, etc. See StL's link for photos.), a nihilist attitude, and a propensity for violence, vandalism and disruption of traffic.

The black bloc types are a minority (albeit a significant one) of these commie-organized protest marches. The black bloc ones say they are "anarchists" rather than socialists but from everything I've seen there is no indication that any of them have the intelligence, rationality, education, or experience to form any coherent political philosophy whatsoever.

I refer to them as the "Children's Violence Club." They know each other, socialize together, have a high group-cohesion and an "us against the world" mentality and seek to make their mark on the world simply by breaking windows of "bad" corporations (Starbucks, Mickey D's, etc.), blocking traffic, grafitti-ing public spaces, etc.

They organize through the internet and are very passionate. They are in all of the big cities, especially on the West Coast. Overall they are not that important but if you are counterprotesting (as we were on Wednesday in S.F.) you need to keep an eye on them.

They are very self-righteous and thus are utterly willing to take a cheap and cowardly shot at someone and cause them injury if it can be done anonymously and without repercussion. Their dress (which hides their individual identities) and their deployment (in roving, swirling masses) are designed to enable their hit-and-run attacks.

All this and they smell bad too.

Yuck!

I hope these Neanderthals feel the pain 24/7 and 365 days a year. I hope it's so bad they drink kool-aid.

Great job Protest Warriors. The SF branch certainly has its hands full. I couldn't make it, but after seeing the craziness and insanity in the photos posted by SeenTheLight, I'm sorry I missed it!
