You are correct, despite the ad hominems (and a few reasonable arguments) against yours. But think of it this way: this thread is just one of the first developing excuses for "the most important election of our lifetime" in 2008 about why W really, really, really wanted to be a conservative, but just couldn't because he didn't hold 90% (you pick a number, always a percent or five greater than we give them) of the Senate.
