Ann Coulter was in rare form this morning of Fox's Fox & Friends program, wondering why this year's exit polling was so wrong, and so slanted.
She told the F&F gang: "The Democrats did throw everything they had at this; we've got Bruce Springsteen, Kabbalah, slashing tires of the get-out-the-vote Bush voters ... and the lying exit polls. "I think that's the biggest story of this election, the outrage of these exit polls. They were completely cockamamy; they had Kerry 18 points ahead in Pennsylvania - demonstrably untrue."
"People vote for the winner, and it always helps the person they (the exit polls) say is ahead, and all day everyone though Kerry absolutely had this [election].
"I think it needs to be looked into. How about a little competition among the exit polls?"
Coulter was also thankful that President Bush won a "stunning popular vote victory - in fact he won a larger popular vote victory than Ronald Reagan ever won," she said, and she wondered why Kerry wasn't conceding, considering that there are fewer provisional ballots out than the margin of victory for Bush.
"If 100% of the military ballots and the provisional ballots are all valid and are all for Kerry, maybe he can retract the concession."
Ms. Coulter also waxed eloquent on Tom Daschle's defeat, among other things, opining, "That was one of the most heartening moments of the campaign last night." She was happy for John Thune, who she said got robbed in the last election, but conceded with grace.
Coulter is also delighted that "that the South is 100% Republican now."
Anne was great; Beckel trying to find a golden thread to hang on to. . .
I stated this yesterday.
In the 2000 election, the major networks attempted to sway the election...
Now, the major media realizes that the internet is a force to be reckoned with. The exit poll leak was a clever ploy to influence voters...the media wouldn't have been able to get away with it again.
Time for the Democratic Party, CBS, ABC, ZOGBY, NY Times to pay the piper.
They are arrogant and have been shown by this election that they are seriously out of touch with the majority of Americans.
I have been thinking about how poor Daschle must feel. I only he and his machine had not stolen the 2002 Senate election from Thune, Thune would not have been running against Daschle.
We won! It wasn't by 10 points, but it was a very strong victory. If the Dims don't take a lesson they've lost more than just this election and I fear that is the case.
By 2008 I expect exit polls to be online at the polling places.
Bob Beckel, the fool does not realize that all Democrats are low life vermin, and traitors to booot!!! Get a life, Bob!!! Freepers and like kindred spirits, let's begin to get ready for Hillary "The Beast" Clinton in 2008!!!
What we have is a media interest that is massively inept and inaccurate skewing public opinion again. NEXT TIME, JUST REPORT THE RESULTS! We don't need false information ahead of time!
The media is firmly in control of social subversives.
I reeeaaally like her. I plan on starting my drive to find Bikini pics of her now that the more serious matters are taken care of.
I have to say that Beckel was good this morning. He drives me nuts usually, but this morning he actually amused me.
Ann Coulter is going to have a column about all this out later today.
Maybe. I recall, though, that a lot of people on the live election thread were reporting big drop-off in the number of voters in polling places near them later in the day. But all the examples I recall were in strongly Dem precincts. People also reported heavy voting continuing in more conservative precincts in to the night.
Don't have any idea what it would add up to, but I'll bet Kerry lost some number of votes through overconfidence inspired by the exit polls, while for Republicans, it was more "once burned, twice shy."
where the heck did I put the sackcloth/ashes?
I think beckell shuld be banned from Fox. Did anyone else hear him call W a son of a b...?
I am glad to be on the same side as Ann Coulter, what a wonderful brain and more courage than all the "girley men" in the Democrat party.
Beckle doesn't deserve to be in the same room with Ann Coulter, he is such a lying schmuck.
Anyone heard from Dick Morris this morning?
Ann understandably forgot to mention that we were up against astrology: my favorite DUmmie quote from the campaign, "Kerry is a sagitarius . . . have faith."
Yep. Then also add the votes by Republicans who were motivated by the bad news and went out and voted.
Swings both ways.
