MSNBC--Pat Buchanan just said he gets his one more state and goes out and declares his win (taking Ohio). The blonde gal (don't know how she is) said that strategy would probably work because after days of legal wrangling, etc it would not bode will with the world for the Dems that were fighting. Sounded pretty good to me.

Edwards is going to make some announcement soon.

scottybk suggests:" ... they will be branded as even SORER losers ..."

I thought the Sore-Loserman signs were great and the chanting of "Get out of Cheney's house" was just too much fun to watch.

What shall be done to help the Democrats further self-destruct this time?

there is no evidence that the Dems self-destructed because of their attempts in 2000 to steal the election - they just got 48% of the vote for their candidate.

As I'm listening to Juan Williams' talking points here, I'm hearing between the lines what the Democrats' strategy seems to be:

1. Have polling and mass media allies publicize misleading pre-election polls giving the public false expectations of a close race.

2. Target key swing states where the race can be made to appear close enough to close the remaining gap with vote fraud. Contest the legitimacy of the results in those states, citing the discrepancy between the pre-election polls and the actual results as evidence of a Republican conspiracy (this latter part is what Williams keeps emphasizing).

3. While the results are being contested, use the extra time to manufacture enough votes to win.

>>If the Dems are smart, they will tell Kerry they will not support him in a fight like 2000. <<

Right. The Democrats should just disappear into the night. If they fight this, they will just look stupid and the stupid
will stick for a looooong time.

Hopefully the "stink" sticks to Hillary all the way to 2008.

People, stop the wild speculation. He undoubtedly just needed a place to crash after the booze ran out and the hookers got tired.

I think even Kennedy is telling him he is looking
absolutely ridiculous! - and setting the headstone on
the grave of the DNC and the MSM.

Teddy just came out and wants to know how the election is going.

You mean he stumbled out.

Well, we disagree.

I was a registered Democrat for 32 years. The disgusting behavior of elected Democrats caused me to make a special trip to the Registrar of Voters office to change my affiliation.

If the Democrats do not back off from some of their more extreme positions, such as gun confiscation and gay "marriage", they will become the permanent minority party. This would be a "good thing".

I am glad it worked out for you, but they have plenty of mindless michael moore loving minions to cover for your loss. now I agree, it doesn't appear to be able to give them a majority formula, but its close.

Fifty-five Senators! As the smoke and fog clears I suspect that this election will be considered a turning point in our nation's history. The Democrats are compelled to change their platform or face similar defeats for the foreseeable future.

What will they change? Every potential change alienates one of the many minorities that constitute the present socialist coalition.

If they continue to support gay "marriage", they alienate religious blacks. If they continue to support gun control, they lose more southern and rural votes. I see no room to maneuver for them. Their anti-American views doom them. Kerry's flip-flopping was the result of the lack of true conviction among Democrats on matters of importance to our nation. There is no single political position which will garner a majority for them.
