I voted this morning at 6:30 in Norfolk. Pretty decent line, comparatively speaking. Later my wife is going to be a poll watcher at our polling place.

My polling place was packed, and as I had to be in office by 8, I delayed. Leaving work early tonight to vote for Dubya.

About the poll watching, it was originally supposed to be me, but it didn't take us long to figure out my wife has more of what it takes to watch the polls. Dems are going to get nothing past her. She is great.

Heaviest turnout I've ever seen at my Dem precinct east of Richmond.

Extra watchers and a legal type out front.

Heh... I had to be at theDentist's office at 7:30 a.m. to get two permanent crowns seated. That took 25 minutes.

I decided last night to vote after the appointment, thinking the lines would be shorter. I was wrong. Stood in line for about an hour, was voter 315.

This is in Chesterfield County. We're strongly Republican. But there were a lot of sKerry voters out there. Not enough to change the results.

But enough to think "How can this many people be this stupid?"

I went to vote at 9 o'clock this morning near Mt. Vernon in Fairfax County. There usually isn't any line; today there was a one hour wait.

Husband and I voted on Saturday since we both have long commutes. The local middle school parking lot was overflowing this morning in Fairfax County.

Long line at 6:10 am in Bumpass in Louisa Co., very conservative area. Took me 20 minutes to get through, by then the line was out the door and into the parking lot.

Voted shortly after 6am in Charlottesville. I didn't have to wait in line but there were a good many people streaming in as I was leaving.

I voted in Manassas, VA at 8:15AM this morning. Small polling place with three machines but turnout was very heavy. There were two campaign workers outside the polling place. One Bush (female-babe), one sKerry (girly man-dweeb). I took the literature from the girl and the girly man said to me "How about the Democratic viewpoint?" I just glared at him and shook my head in disgust at him.

Thanks, I was thinking of starting a Thread for VIRGINIA.

I'm in Charlottesville, VA..................

Voted on my way to work @ 8:15 AM.......The place was jammed but orderly.......a little slow in the lines but Poll-workers carefully checked identity-documentation........usual Charlottesville crowd, ie. University of Virginia is here so there is a definite skewing of the age of voters to a young-bias.......representatives of both the Pubbies and Rats were polite out front of the polling place.

Go Bush!

I voted at 6:45, and called my wife to tell her there was already a line. She called later to say the line was even longer when she got there. Local poll veterans say this is the heaviest turnout they've ever seen. No sign of shenanigans, but some people who looked a little befuddled about the whole concept of voting.

Baview area of Norfolk, VA

I'm on a lunch break from poll watching. VERY heavy turnout at our local (Northern Virginia) precinct - over 50% before noon. This figure includes about 15% absentee voters. Also, more curbside (handicapped) voters than ever before. Weather was chilly this morning but is now sunny and heading up to about 70.

I just voted, Henry County (near Martinsville)

Only 4 voters there, as usual. There are as many poll workers as voters, which is also usual. It's kinda rural around here lol.

The guy in charge of the polls, who is also my barber, asked me to help them out next year.

Well, that's my report.

P.S. - I voted for Bush.
