I'm nervous, too. So, so much at stake. I've already voted by absentee ballot. We're supposed to have an 80% turnout in my county.
Chena's son" just got added to my "Thank you, Lord" list!
Thank you, Timeout! Our son is also voting for Bush along with 80% of our military. He spent four years in the Army, stationed in Germany, sent to Iraq, and has three more years to go in the Army Reserves. Your thanks and prayers are appreciated. :)
No, thank you.
Your son is a great American, you must be so proud of him for his service to our country. I thank him for protecting us in the face of evil and thankful for his return. If I was you I would walk around with my head held high, your family understands what it is all about and I AM PROUD TO POST THIS MESSAGE TO YOU..
Voters in Dixville Notch, about 15 miles (25 km) from the Canadian border, backed Bush over Democratic challenger John Kerry by a margin of 19 to 7, election officials said on Tuesday. Independent candidate Ralph Nader received no votes
I'll be glad to vote soon, my stomach is really starting to hurt from the stress of what should not be of any doubt to any American. I still don't and never will understand how anyone could vote for Kerry partisan or not.

I am humbled by your kind words...sob Yes, we are so proud of him...words just can't describe the feeling we have for his bravery and dedication. I have a picture of our favorite soldier as a child (now a Sergeant) playing with his "army toys" on our old couch back when Saddam invaded Kuwait. I never dreamed that that same beautiful child would end up some day having to fight that same evil monster. Every parent of a soldier knows the "I can't breath" attacks that hit when your child is at war. You and everyone needs to know how much your words of support and thanks mean to every military mom and dad. Thank you so very much.
There are a lot of people who desperately want to return to 9/10 and think that if they throw Bush to the wolves that everyone will love us and we can all be "safe".
Of course, we weren't really safe on 9/10 but at least 45% of the people in this country want a "do over".
Whale, thank'ee, s'nahs uh ye!
Yep. 2nd debate, I believe.
Amen, Force of One!
Get off of my porch you Union Thugs! And take that damn camera with you!
That's right! What are they, taking a poll? There's only one reason to linger on these people's porches asking that question, and that is because they know people fear them, and they're wallowing in it! That really angers me.
What part of Texas? North, west, central or east? The West Texan accent is quite pronounced and has more of a drawl than the others. The central and northern accents are more clipped and may seem less obvious to others, while the eastern is a bit more "southern."
Almost Mexico. Well actually just a few miles south of the Nueces River which Mexico claimed was the border between Texas and Coahuila.
Prayers of thanksgiving for your son..
"Prayers of thanksgiving for your son.."
Thank you, MEG33. You know, I've been a quiet "freeper" ever since before the war began. Never sure what to say, or "how to post" (teehee), but I found comfort every day as I sat here and "listened" to the heart-felt words from all of you "freepers". I wish you all could know how much your support has meant to us. I give "Prayers of Thanksgiving" to you all! We will be spending this Thanksgiving with our soldier and his wife (a TEXAN! how grand is THAT!)....and they are expecting their first child...our first grandchild. They lost their first baby soon after our son learned he was being deployed to Kuwait right before the war. GOD BLESS our MILITARY and ALL the sacrifices they make to keep us safe tonight!
You brought tears to my eyes... I appreciate the families,too..
AMERICA HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE..
"You brought tears to my eyes... I appreciate the families,too..AMERICA HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE.."
Heck, I've been crying for two years. Mabelline ain't got nothin' on me! So come on in, let a few flow....I've found it's good for the soul. I believe what the Amish say (I think it's the Amish)...anyhow, that "God counts the tears of women". So now I pray, "dear Lord, sorry that you had to buy a new calculator just for me". LOL I will be sure to tell our son about what you said, "America Home of the Free Because of the Brave". He believes that with all of his heart but I had never heard it put that way before. :)
It took me days to cry over 911 and I felt like my chest was loaded down with bricks..Tears are good for the soul!
I saw that on a sign at a welcome home parade and I loved it...
